I made my first LC cheesecake yesterday - t's nearl flat as a pancake but it was tastey. I have it cut into little squares to snack on (but only one at a time:)

Hey- sometimes you need something sweet- but at least you made the LC cheesecake. That's great. It was my bro's bday- and it was ice cream cake- and you can imagine the weakness....

Re: Where are the low-carb brides???

Can you tell me where to find a list or a description of a diet for low carb? Carbs are my down fall. I wanted to buy some of those protein bars but there was a lot of calories in one bar and I think if I am not doing the whole diet it would not be beneficial to eat one of those. Maybe I am wrong. Is there a list of what to eat when?? thanks

Check out LowCarbEating.com They have a carb counter on their site as well as a list of foods that should & should not be eaten. I would also recommend reading a book about the diet- any one would be good- Atkins, Protein Power, etc.

Thanks everyone! I do feel much better although I still want to lose some more. Everyone around me is suddenly noticing. We went out Friday and several people told me that I look great. A friend (woman) turned to FH & told him that I am 'A hot momma'.....lol. I also notice I catch FH gazing my way more often & in a different way than before (if that makes sense)

I am trying to diet right now, but don't feel very motivated lately. I am an Atkins fan myself, and just bought the revised 2002 edition. it is different in some ways from the older edition. I really love it, and find it easier for myself to stay on since my love for fatty foods outweigh my love for carbs. Unfortuhately i have my run-ins with carbs more frequently than i would like lately

At times like this, I feel like weight watchers is the better option because it doesn't leave you deprived of anything.

I guess I am going to have to make a decision soon. I have two years, but am dieting with the hopes that I can finally reach my goal weight and get myself acustomed to eating differently so that when i get down to the line I am not struggling . . .
(Sounds too good to be true . . .)

Bri Bri - Either way you go, LC or WW, you're gonna do it!

Bri Bri- I think no matter what you choose you just have to know that you can do it- you are strong just like all of us! but it is going to be hard either way. In my opinion, I feel less deprived doing low carb than WW, but that is just me... every diet works differently for different people. I just personally believe I have a gluten allergy, and that's why I can't eat the carbs- when ever I do, i get acne- it's just unbelievable. I see a nutritionist, and she gives me great tips that Atkins doesn't- so let me know if you have questions.
