We have all been through lot together I was just curious where we all are in the process?
We are waiting for closing in April

We are just looking...We got our pre qual the other day but we think we are going to wait until we have more money to put down on a house.
We looked at around 25 houses though...and cannot believe what people are trying to sell....

I owned my house with no mortgage before I got married. We are now in the process of finishing up plans for an extension with an architect. Now we will need to find a contractor and price it all out.

we bought in September, and now we're completing some major projects
-taking down a wall (done) -refinishing hardwood upstairs (done) -laying hardwood downstairs -remodeling kitchen (in progress) -replacing windows
and the list goes on...
We didn't NEED to do any of these things (except the windows) - the house was in good condition, but we have a vision

We sign contracts on Wednesday. And hopefully we will leave with a closing date.

Just closed last Tuesday....We are working on our vision.... On Friday we took down paneling in two rooms oh and the ceiling ...Lot of work to do I started today to regrout the bathroom tiles...WOW what a difference it makes!

We are just waiting of rour closing date...mortage is going through it processes. FH is a mortgage broker, so at least we dont have to pay all the fees!! W should have a cloasing date of April 12th!! Then we have 2 and half days to piant (we only need to do 2 rooms!) and then the 16th, our 3 orders of furniture are set to arrive!

We closed in June.
We have already finished some rooms. We have redone the hardwood floors in all the rooms we wanted to. We are now waiting for the nursery to be completed.
This spring are tentative plans are:
Gut the front yard and start over with the landscaping.
Remove the hedges in backyard, redo the details around the coy pond in the backyard.
Redo the screen in patio and install a ceiling fan for those hot days.
Finish the deck (balcony- it's on the second floor) that is off our bedroom and screen it for privacy. Possibly by a hot tub for it.

We were in contract 2 weeks after we put the bid in. And we are closing (hopefully) the 3rd week in April
It all depends on different circumstances. The sellers in our case already had another home that they closed on but he is an accountant and can't move out yet.
And it took us 2 weeks for contract because we had to negotiate some stuff.

We are pretty much finished with all the renovations and decorating on our main floor. We are now starting to redo our basement. It was already finished when we moved in, but paneling and notty pine kinda date everything. Especially the carpet that's down there. My DH and his family are starting to rewire the electric for the high hats and lighting this week. We're also adding a bathroom down there with just a sink and bowl.
