will you be sitting at a 'head table' with your bridal party or at a 'sweetheart' table with just the two of you .. or at a table with only a other few people and if so.. who?
I really like the thought of sitting at a sweetheart table.. then the bridal party can sit with whomever they like.. esp if they have sig others that are not in the party itself. Was also thinking maybe of sitting at a regular round with our closest friends and my sister.
At my first wedding we did the head table and I didnt like it. I felt like we were constantly on display and couldnt be social. Like we had to sit there all night for everyone to come up to and talk with. Plus.. we were at a long table and werent able to chat and be social with each other. Wont be doing that again!

we wanted to sit at the table with our BP and their guests but unfortunetly we have too many and we didn't want to choose which half to sit with so we're sitting at a sweetheart table

We are doing the sweetheart, but we went to one recently where the b and g sat with their parents and grandparetns at a regular table, kind of like what you suggested. You can sit whereever you want...it's your day!

We're at our own table.
We went to a wedding over the summer (out of state) that FH was the co-best man and they had the bridal party at one table. I was really uncomfortable sitting by myself since I didn't know anyone and it was the first time I had met the bride and groom.
I wouldn't want to put anyone through that even though 4/8 in our BP are married couples.

sweetheart table...RH has some nice raised dais set up for us, i want the rest of BP to enjoy the reception sitting with friends/family

we will be sitting at a sweetheart table, the biggest table our RH has only seats 14 people, which wouldn't be big enough for us and the bridal party, plus we wanted the bridal party to be able to sit with their dates, so the bridesmaids will be at one table, and the groomsmen at the other.
