Re: where are you buying furniture?
my bedroom set is from Raymour & Flannigan and I love it. You can also check out their clearance center on Rt. 110
Also, I got a lot of stuff at the Pottery Barn Outlet in Riverhead (my coffe table and console table). My coffe table is still on display in Roosevelt field, they must of had an overabundance of them so they were at the outlets. If you get the tanger coupon book you can also get another 20% off.

Re: where are you buying furniture?
my living room set is Jennifer- it was $999 for sofa, armchair, 2 side tables, coffee table, 2 lamps, some hideous non usable vases and a matching hideous picture frame.
We've already had to gorilla glue a leg back on the coffee table but thats because my 100lb dog walks into it and crawls under it on a daily basis.
My Bed is from Bobs. It's nice and their prices are reasonable. I think mine was $700- just the frame, not the mattress. Mattress is from sleepys and $$$$$$$$ but worth it.

Re: where are you buying furniture?
I recommend all of the above places except pottery barn and that's only becaue I have never been there. But they must be great cause I always hear ppl talking about them. The other stores that were mentioned all have very nice furniture and great quality. You may also want to check out Ashley Furniture.

Mich I went to thomasville for my bedroom and dining room sets but it's big furniture. I was thinking of going to macys furniture to find something for my kitchen and living room, they also have bedroom and dining rooms.

I looked at mybobs.com tonight and they have some nice stuff and it's not expensive at all. I've never been to the store so I couldn't say if they're comfy. I would say for end tables and all that, just do Ikea! Those things are easy to replace and get scuffed up and all that so why spend all that money. Especially if you're planning to have kids soon - think crayons on furniture!
I'm super bummed that Levitz went under. I got the most wonderful red microfiber couch there a few years ago for grad school and had to sell it because I moved to a smaller place.

We are getting our furniture from Crate and Barrel, but it's expensive (although on the flip side it's really good quality) so we're getting things little by little.

Re: where are you buying furniture?
HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Bob's!
They have a cute little cafe in their stores as well- free leomonade, cookies....I know it costs them nothing but I'm a sucker for these things.
Nearly all of my 'single' furniture is from Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn....I'll still look to these places for accent pieces but Bobs all the way. The cost is low, pieces are well made and I wont go crazy when the future children are jumping on couches and coloring on furniture
The Pottery Barn outlet in Riverhead usually has great stuff also.

Re: where are you buying furniture?
Raymour and Flanigan! We got our couches and coffee table there, and they were interest free for a few years. That's the best part- you have a lot of time to pay it off, and it's quality furniture. We also bought the diamond protection package- $250 and anything that happens to the furniture in 5 years, they fix it. They've already come out to our place once, and there was no fighting to get them to come out.
