Where are you planning to stay after the wedding? (w/ poll)

bored and just wondering

buttttttttttttttttttttt my mother(who lives in korea coming for a month for my wedding) is staying at my house........... I THINK... if she does stay at my house I may need to get a hotel room.

we are planning on staying at a hotel, however it wont be near the RH.

We're staying at the same hotel where we booked our room block for guests who want to stay over. This way we can continue the party with our friends at the hotel bar and then we're having a breakfast the next morning for whoever wakes up on time.

paying for what? We're paying for our room. We set up a negotiated rate for a room block at the hotel and our friends can reserve rooms at the hotel w/that rate. We'll also be paying for breakfast that morning but it's not that much and we're secretly hoping that one of our parents picks up the tab for that but it's doubtful.

No you are not!!! We are staying at the Garden City Hotel and we are not giving any info to our out of town guest about this place.... we want to be by ourselves the wedding night and not have people come knocking on our door at an inopportune moment

Anyway... we have very few out of towners...more like out of countryers... so they will be staying with family!

ETA: Our hotel is no where near our RH!

Well, me and my FH are not supposed to live together before we get married. So we got an apartment and we will be spending our wedding nite in our new apartment for the first time. Soooooo excited!! I was going to get a hotel room but my friend suggested we stay at our new apartment since we don't live together now. Great way to save money

I'm only doing this because we are having a brunch at the hotel the next morning. if we weren't, I would have stayed at the Garden City Hotel.

It's whatever you want, but this is how we do it with my crew of people. The party keeps going at the hotel. No one really gets the hotel for OOT guests, we're all from here (most people live super-close), but this way no one has to worry about driving, they just hop on the shuttle to and from the hotel and the party keeps going and the bride and groom are part of the party. It's a chance to be more relaxed I think and silly away from the family and the old people. And then whoever isn't too hungover to drag their @sses out of bed the next morning can meet us downstairs for breakfast.

ETA: It's not like our guests are coming to bed with us so to stay at a different hotel would defeat the purpose, we're doing it to hang out longer with our friends away from old folks.

yeah i also dont have ALOT of oot guests...we have some of fh's family which they will stay at a hotel, and i know some of our friends might stay instead of driving home, but definitely not a large amount.

our wedding also ends at about 2am so we wont have an after party. Yeah i want us to have alone time and even the next day i just want to wake up, have breakfast in bed or knowing us it would be lunch time lol, just lounging and whatever else lol. The hotels FH has mentioned are in manhattan so i think thats what we'll do
