I've decided that we will stay at a hotel the night before the wedding (me, MOH and BM). I don't want to worry about being time crunched with traffic that morning. I'm getting married at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. Which hotel are you staying at?
Right now the big contender is Glen Cove Mansion. But it's so freaking close, I can't see needing the limo now, although FH is insisting on it.
Other contender is The Andrew Hotel. It's a bit pricier, but they have a DVD player in each room, and comes with a bottle of wine chilling in the room prior to our arrival.
What do you guys think?

Where are you staying the night before? - Long Island Weddings
I'm having a bit of a bridal party slumber party at my moms the night before. At this point all my decisions are about money, im going with cheaper things when its not necessary to go with something more so i can splurge on whats important to us.

Edited b/c my plans have changed...
I've decided to splurge and stay at the Inn at Fox Hollow the night before the wedding - with my mom. FH (and one of his GM, who is coming from Florida) will be staying at our apt. I'm a little nervous about FH being around this particular GM the night before the wedding - worried there may be less sleeping and more drinking. But, I feel like I can't say too much. FH is trying to be thoughtful and save his out of state GM a little $$. I just have to strongly suggest he get a good nights rest and just cross my fingers and say a prayer.

I'd love to stay home, but I'm worried about the timeline. And FH will have both his kids the night before. While I adore them, I'd like some 'me' time to relax and chill as much as possible. Plus, his ex lives a block away, and I don't trust her one bit. So being far away from them and close to the venue is where I'd rather be. The pricetag on this is completely worth me keeping my sanity.

i'm staying at the Inn at Fox Hollow since i'm staying there the night of the wedding as well. it just made sense. Plus, if i have the room the night before, there will be no issues w/the timing and everyone can get ready in my suite for hair and makeup. FH is staying at our apt.

I'm staying at Fox and you should stay at the andrew. FH stayed at gc mansion and was not a fan.... like the hotel is dated. andrew would probably look better in photos.

FH and I are staying together in the hotel with our OOT guests the night before the wedding. Our wedding is at noon and we are doing pictures beforehand so our timeline is tight as it is. There's no time for driving or traffic at all lol.

I'm staying at my place in Williston Park, which is only about 20min away from the Fox Hollow. FH is being shipped off to his parents in nearby Mineola :)
This! I'm staying at our place and he's gonna crash at his parents. We have an evening ceremony so we won't be crunching in the am but we all live in Nassau so we have time. I think I'm going to be getting ready at my parents house

I'm staying at the hotel which is close-ish to the church, FH will be at home (about an hour or so away from the church).
Someone will drive him to the church, we haven't nailed down who yet. He will meet up with his groomsmen at the church and the bridesmaids and I will meet him there.
We are trying not to see each other before the service, if there is time though we might be near each other without seeing each other. Maybe on either side of the door or something. Have to see what time there is an if an opportunity presents itself.

I believe I will be staying at my parent's house which is 5 minutes from the church. The girls will meet me at my parents house in the morning to get ready. FH and the groomsmen will be at our apartment in Rocky Point to get ready. They will drive to church on their own. It is about 40 minutes from the church. We don't want to see each other before ceremony!

FH and I are both staying at our parent's house - it is much closer to the church an the venue than our new place will be. I want to be with my mom and MOH the night before, so they'll be with my at my house.
I would stay at the Andrew Hotel if I were you - if you have the limos anyway, you may as well make use of them. Plus, if it has a DVD player and wine, I'm sure you can put Bridesmaids, Bride Wars or 27 Dresses to some good use!

Let me know what you decide! I'm a Metropolitan Bride to and I was thinking of the same thing with Glen Cove Mansion and wondering about the limo also. I have to figure out the entire limo situation to make it worthwhile. I don't remember seeing the Andrew Hotel, but maybe its just out of my budget lol.

I plan on staying at a nearby hotel the night before. We live far from our venue and having to do the drive the day of will just stress me out. FH is staying at our place, although I wish he'd stay at his parent's house since they live significantly closer.
