Re: Where you girls taking pictures...
I'm also getting married in Lindenhurst and completely by accident we discovered a really nice park right on Montauk Hwy. It's called Argyle Park and when I mentioned it to my banquet manager he said it was a very popular place for wedding pics. We will go there first - hope this helps!

Re: Where you girls taking pictures...
Just some advice from someone who knows.....
If you're having your pictures taken outside, make sure you have an indoor place as a backup in case of bad weather. Make sure the inside place is as nice as your outdoor place, so you won't be disappointed with your pictures!!!
I didn't have a backup place, and naturally it rained on my wedding day. We ended up inside a studio with a brown/tan backdrop. My pictures were not what I envisioned at all. It wasn't the photographers fault--but my own.
HAVE A BACKUP!

Weather permitting, on the golf course where our reception place is. If the weather is not cooperating, probably at the hotel next door - it's more of a spa/resort-like hotel, so it wouldn't be awful to take pics there if it rained.

Re: Where are you taking pictures...
What about your hall? I don't want to have to reserve or pay for an indoor place jsut in case, so i guess it woudl be in teh church or in teh hall, but our CH is in the same room as the reception if it rains, so I could only do that if they let us in early.
Outdoors, I am considering the grounds of the Milleridge and and the SUNY farmingdale gardens. Does anyone know how to go about reserving that though?

We're gonna take them at the church & the hall but, I also want to go to Flushing Meadows Corona park. It's right next to our hall.
i went to Oyster Bay Arboretum. sooooo beautiful there!

Re: Where are you taking pictures...
Ohhhh The gardens at Farmingdale are a great option! I took a summer class there once a few years algo and every Thursday we had class in the rose garden (the prof though that economics was boring enough w/o being stuck in the classroom) and it was gorgeous!
Be careful about Argyle Park, anyone who is really familiar with it can tell you that there is a TON of geese poop on the ground there ALL the tiem in teh summer months! Its really nice but you will have to be really careful wit hyour dress!!
Oyster Bay and Planting Fields are probably too far, both are about 1/2 hour from Lindy (I live there!)

We're taking our pix on the grounds of our hall. (Westbury Manor) If it rains, it's okay because the inside is almost as pretty as the outside...(But that's good advice KMC
