I'm undecided between my Dad's and a hotel. Honestly, I really want to get ready at my Dad's because it's where I grew up but it's not in the best shape and I'm really worried my dog will pee on my dress or rip it. So I was debating on getting ready at the hotel, but I only want to get one room, which FH and I will stay in that night and I kind of feel like I'm cheating myself out of that special moment of spending the night together in that room because everyone's going to be in it that day if I get ready there.

i started moving my stuff out about 1 month before the wedding...2 weeks after that my mom had my room in shambles because she was redoing it for pictures (she was really making a new guest room....lol) She asked me to take the rest of my stuff with me...lol
but I did sleep in the 'guest room' the nights before my wedding, and I got ready there..

my parents house was busting at the seams with ppl and its small in the first place....so i opted for a hotel so that it would be a little less crazy.

Where are you getting ready?
I have the same concern about the dog situation. My parents will be taking the dogs to 'the lodge' for the night. So they wont go crazy with all of the people in the house, the dress will be safe and my parents will not be returning that night so there will be someone to care for the dogs through the night. Maybe you can look into that as an option.

I live with my parents and our place is ONE BLOCK from the church. So I am getting ready there (my house IS my parent's house for now).
I'm hoping that it won't be crowded with extra family etc. I'm hoping my doggie behaves that day - she's usually great, but I hope she doesn't get extra hyper with having so many people there (BM's parents, me, etc).

i live with my FH so i will be kicking him out and getting ready at our house, i will have the BM and my mom come over too . I have dogs too and my worst fear is them shredding my dress, so i will need to find a home for them the day of

I live in an apt downstairs from my dad and stepmom, so I will be getting ready there. But we will be upstairs in thier part of the house because there are too many people for my teeny tiny apt! It is not where I grew up, but where my DD is growing up, so I thought it would be nice to get ready there. I thought about the hotel, but I want pics taken in front of my gardens and arbor I built! Just have the photog take close ups and save the big shots for another location.

im getting ready in my hotel room because thats where we will be spending the night after the wedding. So its alot easier and makes sense.

Hotel room..MY MOH and some BM's are staying with me the night before. We will get ready at the hotel...then I am going to my Dad's house to meet the rest of the BM's and take some pics....THEN off the Church!!
