Where can I get bagels catered?

Original post by divabride

I went to several well known reputable bagel stores to ask how much it would cost for an assortment of bagels with individual butters, jellies and cream cheeses. I'd like to use them as favors for my wedding. They ALL looked at me like I had two heads. Does anyone know where I can find a bagel store that accomodate me? I dont think Im asking for too much, but apparently I am!!

I would also check out Zabars..

I believe you can even order online- how's that for convenience?

How about doing it yourself. Go to a bagel store and get dozens of bagels and go to Costco and get the butter chips, cream cheese packets and jelly. You can get some nice gift bags and do it probally for a lot cheaper than some of these places are charging. Just make sure you order the bagels in advance and have ur bridal party put it all together for you.

So you want to have a basket of bagels for everybody as a favor?

Thats a really cool idea.

The only thing you might want to think of... is if you throw some garlic and onion bagels in there... your hall might get a little smelly from the strong odor of garlic.

Bellmore Bagel Cafe in Bellmore. I used them for Yom Kippur break the fast. The also own 24 hour bagel in Oceanside. They were wonderful to work with and even called to make sure everyhting was to my satisfaction. Hope this helps.

Some caterers like Gabby's in Woodbury, Corinne's in Huntington, etc. have a mini bagel package that they do. Try Coliseum deli and caterers in Westbury, they are the best.

GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! i work at a bagle shop!!!!!!!!!!
lol but we suck at catering part, the bagles just come in a bag, and thats how we give it to the hilton and ups and all our other accounts but the bagles are reallly good but the sides are wayyyyy expensive, if u got the bagles from us, just buy the sides packaged, there not that expensive... where are u located??? we are in west babylon...

Another vote for Gabby's. There are actually 2 of them on Jericho Tpk. in like a 3-mile radius. One is in Woodbury and the other Syosset. Good luck!
