I went to several well known reputable bagel stores to ask how much it would cost for an assortment of bagels with individual butters, jellies and cream cheeses. I'd like to use them as favors for my wedding. They ALL looked at me like I had two heads. Does anyone know where I can find a bagel store that accomodate me? I dont think Im asking for too much, but apparently I am!!

Diva: H+H in the city, makers of most yummy bagels (and the key to a happy Sunday AM in our house!) will ship if over a few dozen with sides.

Try Strathmore Bagels- they are by MacArthur Airport. they are really good, and they are big (do a lot of catering), so they might be able to help. Also, since the cream cheese would have to be refridgerated, you might want to just do bagels (JMO).
My aunt always gives everyone 1/2 doz. bagels and the NY times for the next day at the end of the kids' bar mitzvah's, and it is always a nice touch.

Bagel Boss is excellent! They are my favorite. It is a chain, but I go to the one in Bay Shore.

Is H&H bagels still in business? I remember them from when I was a little girl. They had the best bagels. I think there was on on 79th and Broadway. It was near Zabar's.

Re: Where can I get bagels catered?
My first choice was H&H. But they are very expensive to ship. Maybe I'll give them a call and offer to pick them up myself to defer the costs. I also check strathmore.
Bagel Boss - I went to 2 of them and they were BOTH very rude to me. You figured they would be happy to get such a large order, but instead they both seemed bothered. I decided to take my business elsewhere!!
I planned to have everything refrigerated including the bagels, butters, cream cheeses and jellies. So Im not too worried about anything going bad.
Anyone else?

Re: Where can I get bagels catered?
My company uses Bagel Boss, we get them (bagels) delivered every day to the office, so they obviously deliver. If you get married during one of the High Holidays, though, they are generally closed. There are a number of locations on the Island, so that might be a good option.

Woops, sorry. If they were rude, then go elsewhere, I agree!

Stuff-A-Bagel in Lindenhurst has awesome bagels that. They cater anywhere and its reasonably priced. Check them out! They are located on Montauk Highway by LA Dance Studios and Lindencrest Diner. Can't miss it.

Gabbys is a great bagel place on Jericho Tpk in Woodbury and there is one a little more west in Syosset. The bagels and spreads are wonderful...they may be pricey but might be worth a try.
