I am getting married in december and im having the ceremony and reception at the same place. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we can go take pictures before the ceremony. I know it will be cold out and i dont know if there are any places we can go to take pictures inside besides the hall. My MOH said we should go to the beach, i think shes crazy!!

The UAB Plaza on Hempstead Tnpk in Uniondale. Big glass office building across from Nassau Coliseum. You need a permit.
Westbury Gardens - I believe you can take pictures inside.

How about public parks in the area of your ceremony/reception site? Check to see if you need to file a permit and a fee and to reserve the time for usage. Some places you only have a 1/2 usage.

Try the Holtsville Ecology Center. They have an indoor place. Its a good place to reserve just incase it rains.

I would pick a few places like the Oakdale Arboretum (entrance fee is $6 per car, limo SUV $12), maybe the beach (who knows December is known to have warm sometimes, not last year but in past years).
Two weeks b/f the wedding when you have a better idea of the weather pick one of the places.

the nassay county museum of art is so pretty. we just went there last weekend and fell in love with the grounds.
