I got invited to a Black Tie Optional wedding. FH is wearing a very dark gray (charcoal, almost black) suit. I would like to find a gown that is not too 'ball gown' but still nice and formal.
Any suggestions on dress styles and where I can find them??

I don't know what they have on the floor but I am sure you could find something Estelles, Lord & Taylor's, Bloomingdales, Macys, etc.

I swear by Estelles!! I have gotten all my gowns (besides my wedding gown) there!! I bought a beautiful mermaid black and white gown there last year and I want to wear it again so bad!!

I am having the same problem...I live in Eastern Suffolk, also, and there are hardly any places to go out here. Maybe try Renee's in Mattituck?
