There is a place called LL Dent right by Roosevelt Mall. It is southern cuisine and it is very good!

it's a new orleans atmosphere with southern/cajun food to die for! It's sooooo yummy, and the drink specials are great!

Lola in Great Neck is 100% amazing. My top recommendation.
Waterzooi is really good in Garden City.

How about Millennium Chicken in Valley Stream?

If you want some place relaxed and laid back, Dempsey's Bar and Grill in East Meadow has fabulous food. We go there once a week!

if you like Japaneese food Minado in Carle Place is really good... (its an all you can eat buffet) also International Delight cafe in Rockville Center is fabulous, along with Blue Moon (right across the street)

Swingbellys in Long Beach is amazing BBQ and wings! George Martin Grillfire in RVC is a yummy steak place. Novita in Garden City is a cool wine bar with food. HTH!
