IN suffolk county? We met with the Rabbi on Thursday, she said she can rent one from one of the stores by her in Manhattan, for $75, but tis not free standing, and 4 people wpould ahve to be ther to hold it up...
I don't want that...I don;t really want it AT ALL..but FH does, so we have to have it..nothing fancy...just need it..and free standing..don;t like the idea of 4 people just standing up there haning onto a pole...yuck!

it is actually an honor to be one of the huppah holders. at my fh's cousins wedding they had him and 3 other close cousins hold it. if you look at it that way you can have some people not involved in the BP help out. just a suggestion.

We don't have anyone extra....FH whole family is already in the wedding, so is mine...we are not having any children except our young nieces and nephews...There are not any people we could even ask to do this...we have a large bridal party as it is, and teh Church aisles and alters are not that wide for all those people, plus the extra huppah holder people...wre did manag to recruit one person to read a poem...thats about the only extra person we have...

ask your florist if they have huppah's. THat's where we got ours from.

We got ours from the florist....but we were going to rent it. Try Patchogue Floral Fantasyland....you can rent it, I think it was like $150. But...someone has to put it together....we didn't want the hassel, that's why we decided to go with the one from the florist. I loved ours....he made it so pretty.
