What budget are you trying to stick to? Affordable means something different to everyone :P

Sunset Harbour offers packages starting around $60 per person, as does Larkfield Manor (but I'm not sure how high their pricing will go after the renovations). Is that the type of budget you're trying to stick to? Hope this helps!

Haha yeah I totally understand! Some places will go down more if you're doing the middle of the week or like a Friday afternoon, and it never hurts to ask and try to fight with them a bit.

My mom sent me this while I was originally looking: http://www.meetinghousecreekinn.com/catering.htm

I'm not sure what they charge for alcohol, but they do have a private room, good food prices and they are right by water so that could be nice.

How big are you planning your wedding to be? That could help you decide the type of place you want. If it's under 100, you could probably find a restaurant that has a private room and would have better prices than a catering hall. I also looked at a place in the Lower East Side of NY called the Mermaid Inn. It would have to be a day-time event (I think the event has to be over by 3:30PM, and that's one of the reasons I decided against it), but they offer a price-fixe menu for $35 plus the cost of drinks: http://themermaidnyc.com/

Hope this helps!

I think Verdi's of Westbury and Ariana Waterfall might be within your budget. Also check out Swan Club. Keep in mind off season is cheaper.

What about the Queens County Farm Museum. It's cute, inexpensive and rustic!

I'm getting married at Sunset 11/2/13. We paid $65++ for a sat night. There is a cheaper package ($55++) but its not really worth it. And they also dont have any price difference for fri vs sat vs sun. HTH!

Larkfield told us that after the construction, our wedding date would've been about $125-$150 pp. It's a Sunday of a holiday weekend.

You should defiantly think about the time of day and day of the week you are willing to get married.
The price will drop drastically if you are willing to get married during the week.

A winter wedding will most likely be more affordable than a summer one. Keep in mind time of day also. Places will probably be more willing to work within your budget if you do a winter wedding in the afternoon.

This. Also try a Sunday afternoon with a shorter menu.

There are few places you can research that do all-inclusive packages. The specific Dj, Photographer, and florists may not be the best but its all bundled into a cheaper place. I forget the names of which ones do this.

Timber Point is also good....

also, if you are willing to do beer and wine only, you can cut ~10pp off the price pending on the place

We booked at Ariana Waterfall. They have a bunch of different packages that where really within our budget and it is the same price for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plus they only do one wedding at a time
