Yep!!! I was scared shitless moving by myself not knowing a soul to the 'Big City'. Now, I can't picture leaving. Although, I still think Tn. is one of the most beautiful places.

Jola, I grew up in Brooklyn - in Marine Park. Lived in Park Slope too, but when I was in my 20's.

Now I live in Kings Park.

I miss Brooklyn!


Where exactly did you live?? My house was on 6th ave and 23 st


The closest to you was where I lived from about 91-92, 97-99, and also 84-85 (it was my family's home) on Greenwood between McDonald and East 2nd.

From 90-91 I lived on St. Mark's Place off Flatbush, and from 95-97 I lived on Prospect Avenue off 5th.

I've moved around a bit.

Rosedale Queens (born-elementary school)
Valley Stream (Junior High and High School)
Lynbrook (during college)
UES (for a year after college)
Kew Gardens (for a year after UES)

Now I live in Forest Hills. It's the first time I've lived somewhere for more than a year consecutively since I was 17!

I also went to school in Providence RI for four years and to grad school in Washington DC for a little bit too.

Born & raised in Flushing

Moved to New Hyde Park for about 8 yrs

Moved back to Flushing
(Not happy about it either) But we own a store there so now I have no choice. But we also have a house out in Shirley if that counts but we only go out when DH has off which is not often
