baby's furniture? I want to look around because none of the furniture stores near me have anything I'm looking for. I dont like the dark wood or the white, I'm more of a natural colored wood, maybe a sleigh style crib, any help would be appriciated

We just got back from Bellini and I think we are going to go for this crib
and this Armoire, changing table and book case
all in the natural wood (the crib color)
I think it would look great with our son's bedding set

We got our set in the natural color. We looked all over (BRU, BBB, Bellini's, Behr's) and emded up getting a set by Bonavita in BBB in Huntington. We chose Buy Buy Baby because you can use their 20% off coupons. WE got one from a friend and were able to save quite a bit on the crib.

The model name is Bonavita Chloe, I think (it's been almost a year since we picked it out!). It was $550 and we saved 20% with the BBB coupon. It is a convertible crib - goes to a toddler bed and then a youth bed.

Theres a place in SI...if Im not mistaking thats where you are? (im not a stalker-just noticed your other posts bc thats where i am.!)..called el bambi on south avenue--theres also a burlington coat factory w/a baby depot in same shopping ctr but i havent been in there to tell you how the selection is... anyway el bambi is like a factory, they can basically get any furniture you see at other stores(like MB) for a lot cheaper. they will work with you price-wise. hope that helps- good luck!

hi sorry it took so long to respond...El Bambi is in the same shopping ctr as Ceaser's Bay & Burlington baby depot...the phone # is 718 833-3020... I went to MB first(on Amboy Rd) to pick everything out-furniture,bedding etc, (As Im sure you know,they are a bit overpriced at MB!) & then went to El Bambi(also called Sovereign Baby Furniture) & told them how much MB was charging,& being that MB is their man competitor, they gave me a much better price. They were about $200 less on each piece of furniture & also the bedding. Better than Behrs,Bellini& Forever Young. THeres also 2 other places in Brooklyn you can check out, Little King& Queens(in Borough Park) and another place that has beautiful furniture-I cant think of the name offhand, but its on 16&60th across from Maple Lanes bowling Alley. As you can see I did my research, but you should too before making any decisions because some of these baby places can really be a rip-off!! Good Luck,let me know if you need anything else!

WE looked at Behrs and Baby and teen furniture.com on the service road in Mineola. I was going to get the belini n crib but i was not happy about the way the drawer was made.. so here is Jillians furniture its from Pali

I also got mine at BabiesRUs-it's a mocha color-not quite too dark but not natural.
That is the set I wanted to get when we have a baby!!

We got this one from JC Penney in the maple finish, its not the darkest like Cherry but not the lighter like Natural. We got it with the drawer kit which is real handy. We had it shipped to the store and saved a little on shipping chgs and DH put it together.
(finally got a resized pic) here it is after we first put it together
I bought and have the same style crib. My daughters is in the natural wood. I did the same thing with picking it up at the JCPenney store. We saved a lot of money in shipping.
