I grew up in Ridgewood, Queens. Lived there for 14 years.

Moved to Levittown when I started HS. Been living here for 11 years.

bears where in Maspeth. FI and I now live in Glendale, but FI grew up in Maspeth.

He went to St. Adelburts for school and that is his parish (we're getting married in mine), then he went to Molloy for HS.

Chippatrid, DH went to St. Stan's. He's from the what I call the 'old' part of Maspeth. Not far from Russo's bakery.

We got married in my parish in Jackson Heights -- Our Lady of Fatima. And he said that when we have a baby, it's being baptized in 'his' church since we got married in 'mine'!! Oh brother! Meanwhile can I just tell you that he was kicked out of 'his' school (St. Stan's) for being a bad little boy!! LOL

I know exactly where that is. There is a travel agent next to it or near it, its one of my FI's stores he deals with for his calling cards (a small business he and his dad have) There is a bar that FI and I go to a lot that is not too far from there. Sportspage. Our friend was part owner of the bar and we had another friend (who is my matron) who used to be a bartendar there once a month.

There was a huge fire in the deli next door to it, and the bar got a lot of damage.

We're getting married in my Parish (Nativity) and we're going to have a priest who did all his sacraments come to my parish to do our wedding.

Yup, that bar had a huge fire about 2 months ago! I remember hearing all the fire engines and I said to DH, 'something big is going on' and he didn't believe me! He goes to the Anchor Inn to watch his Dallas Cowboys lose (oops, did I say that?) every Sunday!!!

Small world, huh? I call that neighborhood 'Peyton Place' because everybody knows everybody, everybody knows everybody's business and NOBODY EVER LEAVES!!!!! Case in point, my DH!!!
