Mine did it at our favorite it little restaurant in the city. I met him after work for a 'quick bite before we did laundry' so he said! I got there and he had a gift for me...it was a picture frame with lyrics to our song and at the bottom of the frame it was engraved...'you have my heart, can i have your hand?' I didn't get it at first and said...'aww thats nice and put it down.' He was like...ummm, do you get it? then he got down on one knee. I was shocked!!!!!!!!
I just got teary eyed reading this!!! how adorable

FH proposed at the beach at sunset on our 7 year anniversary. He also made me dinner that night - a heart shaped meatloaf with I love U written in ketchup on it! I wish i had a pic of that!!

These stories are all SO sweet.
FH and I went on a European Cruise to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It was our first formal night and he was intent on it being 'my day'. He let me me pick out his outfit, fixed his hair how I like, took portraits ect.
During dinner he came down with a tummy ache and disappeared...turns out he was setting everything up. After dinner we went for a walk on the top deck and he TOLD me I was cold. I wasn't, we had crossed into the Medtiterranian and it was lovely out. Again, he insists we go to our room to get my wrap.
We get there and there was champagne, candles....so I start crying because I thought this was to make up for a spat we had earlier. He got down on his knee- I was in disbelief. I cried, laughed, said no way, cried and finally said yes!
My avatar is the photo we took afterwards, we went dancing. This was 4 days into our vacation, I never realized that he had been carrying the ring with him everywhere because he was afraid I would find it in the room.

FH proposed in our basement when I was doing laundry.... I know he was so nervous...and I cried my eyes out .... after that we went upstairs and told the kids about it ...and WOW they were all so happy about it !!!!!!!!

on HIS birthday we went to take the dog for a walk after dinner.He wanted to take me to my favorite park to walk by the water, but it was raining. It was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!

on our 5th year anniversary at my family's vacation house on Sleepy Hollow Lake. It was just to two of us. We walked down to the lake and he did it as the sun was setting.

In our bedroom. I was trying to take a nap after a long day at jones beach. I was completely taken by surprise. I was trying to get him to leave me alone actually...I was tired!!

At TGIF in Westbury... OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT!!! HE invited friends & family ... I was in tears when I walked in and he dropped down on one knee.....

Unofficially on the beach in Maui last October on our last night there when he said 'you know we're coming back here on our HM, dont you?'
Officially on our 2 year anniversary on the rocks behind the Montauk Lighthouse.

on a cruise..in bahamas...one of the guys there told him that they have the most beautiful sunrises..and we wanted to get up one morning get breakfast and watch sun rise.....i was sleeping..when when i wake up...he was next to me....and i had a ring on my finger....i was like oooooomgggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He wanted to bring me up..and propose on the deck...during sunrise...but that damn morn...was very windy..and it was raining a little..he knew i would be complaining about my hair flying..its too cold...blah blah...hahahhha he knows me too well!!!!!!!i love my baby!.....we had great breakfast....while calling all our family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
