my FH proposed to me in our living room while playing the song 'Good Witch of the North' by Everclear
part of the chorus is 'and I swear someday I'm gonna marry you' - that's when he did it

Re: Where did he propose?
On the beach! We were at a party- and everyone knew he was going to propose- except me of course! He brought my best friend and her husband to the party too so they could be there! It was so sweet! :)

Re: Where did he propose?
At the docks where we spent a lot of time together when we were first dating. He tried to do it at sunset, but as usual I was running late...it was however perfect.

Re: Where did he propose?
He took me back to the exact spot in our college dorm in Pennsylvania where he first saw me. He had to get permission from the housing dean and president of the college to open the dorm during the summer so he could propose to me. No one was on campus because school was out for summer break. So only the deans were there. I was clueless. He told me that he had to pick up some copies of his transcript for a job and meet with his old advisor.
He got on one knee and started by saying that he made a promise to himself the first day that he saw me in 94 that he would marry me one day. THen he said...so i am fulfilling that promise and asked if I would marry him
Aww

Re: Where did he propose?
In the piazza in front of the Pantheon in Rome!!!
He had no idea of the significance, it was one of the few buildings that survived the barbarians sack of Rome... I look at that as a symbol that our relationship will endure any 'attack'
Oh, and I also teach World History and I waited to go to Italy until I met the man I wiuld spend the rest of my life with. That's what I always envisioned.

Dina that's beautiful!
He proposed (on the 5th year anniversary of the day we met) at the River Cafe, after dessert while down on both knees...it was beautiful!
And then again after a romantic dinner on our HM! I love that man!

awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!! that is so romantic!
my FH didn't get down on 1 knee (like I had always imagined getting proposed to). but he did cry... so I let it slide lol
In our brooklyn heights apartment.....it started as a discussion as to 'when should we get engaged' and we threw all logic out the window and said 'hey we love each other, lets do it now'
