Re: Where did u have your eparty?
We decided to just invite the whole bridal party- cause at the engagement party I would like to announce who we would be honored to have in the bridal party.
We also decided on immediate family (both side parents, grandmothers (we both only have grandmothers), aunts and uncles (only if they are a sibling to our parents) and both our first cousins that are of age and invited to the wedding.
We are going to have a slight problem with the age limit and whose kids are invited. We can't do an age limit of 21 (it will be 18 most likely) cause I have 2 people in the bridal party who are only going to be 18 and 19. Also having this occur at our e-party first might help the situation cool down by the time of the wedding and allow my aunts and uncles to understand their 6 and 10 and 15 yr old children are NOT invited to my I guess you can call it adult only reception!!!
But then we are going to invite several friends (but not go crazy cause unfortunately things change and so do people) and you never know if you invite some friends to the e-party and maybe arent friends with them by the time of the wedding- (which might happen with a gf of mine- she is avoiding all her friends since her bf comes home from Japan in May and has to prepare herself for him- IDK?? hehe ) i would feel weird- would i still invite them???
SORRY SO LONG!!!

I am having my e-party next month at Chateau La Mer.
Denise, how much are you paying for your e-party at CLM???
Curious....I'm starting to check places out for that this summer...thanks!!
Its 48pp but after tax and gratuity it came out to $61pp.
Thanks!! That isn't too bad. I am just not sure what I wanna do yet..I don't want it to be a mini wedding but I think FH and I would still like to have one!!
what to do, what to do lol
Yup similar thing happen to me. I didnt want a catering hall at all for my e-party...I honestly called up places for over a month, every single day...I called lounges, clubs, restaurants, lofts, penthouses, dance studio and so on...For the lofts, penthouses and places like that it was tooo much work, we'd have to rent tables, chairs, and basically everything. Then with clubs, bars, lounges and most restaurants it was a problem bc of timing...They would ask the party to end early, so it would have to be a daytime party which we didnt want, and if we wanted to rent it for the night, they would charge an insane amount of course to make up for business they lost. We even looked at MSG bc they have 3 party rooms
Well i had FINALLY found this one place, the restaurant was gorgeous, verydifferent looking, it was really breathtaking, the outside garden was amazing too with waterfall and everything...Well first problem was that it wouldve had to been on a sunday, bc of the whole time thing or early sat...Then they tried charging us $10 pp per hour just for the drinks...With the amount of guests we have it wouldve been over $6,000 just for the bar bill...Then the biggest problem was our guest list grew too much and it exceeded their maximum.
Well i finally had enough, and i said thats it lets just look at CLM since we had been there recently to look at it for our wedding.
If you have any questions about clm, i can tell you their menu for an e-party or anything else feel free to fm me

Re: Where did u have your eparty?
If you guys are having an evening e-party...and are not having children at your wedding...are you still inviting them to the e-party??
See I am not inviting kids to my wedding, we set an age limit of 18 yrs who are invited! And I know it is going to cause some trouble ..however FH and I figured if we only invited adults (over 18- besides like 5 ppl bec they are only 16 and 17 and by the time the wedding comes they will be 18) to the e-party maybe it might help settle the trouble earlier on....and I also want an evening e-party if we have it at a hall. I don't want the parents to have to worry about their little ones running around nor do I.
What do you guys think? And what are you doing for this issue...?
TIA

Re: Where did u have your eparty?
Well we also did no kids for the e-party...We already were having too many people, our guestlist was at 180 and we finally brought it down to 160, thats alot for an e-party, if we would've invited kids then it would've been too much.

I'm having my eparty in March at my fathers firehouse. We got engaged Thanksgiving weekend, and we booked the Woodbury CC for Jan of 09. Our favors are personalized M&M's.
Oh my god the e-party is next weekend I'm freaking out.

One more question: I got engaged for X-Mas. Is it too long to wait until July to have an eparty?
I got engaged for my b-day on the 8th of Feb, and we are waiting until july or august. I wanted nicer weather, plus we are trying to get a house before then and wanted to wait until a firmer date is set for the wedding and stuff.... I don't think it is too long...
