your gown??!! (sorry if this posts twice) I have been to five different places and had different experiences but the one place I had a better experience i heard terrible things about! Not that I could even find a dress or decide on one, but I hear mostly negative things about just about every salon out there. I just want to 1) FIND a dress 2) at a reliable friendly helpful place! (too much to ask??!)
Please ONLY POSITIVE experiences on the post (if you post a negative one, they'll delete it so please FM me if you have a particularly terrible experience)
Where I have been so far:
Paradise Bridal: Cherise was very helpful and I tried on a lot of dresses, but she was a little over the top and it was my first time out, but they have a good selection.
Village Bridal of babylon: Pretty low key, looked on my own and the girl pulled a few. decent selection, a little crowded the night i went
Bridal Reflections Massapequa: Very stuck up but nice enough. only showed me trunk show stuff, not the dress i asked to see. little pricey
Bridal Elegance (Huntington? Dix Hills area): Nancy was very nice and Phyllis is supposedly amazing for alterations but i only tried on a couple dresses because they didn't have a large selection. (although they said they would order anything,,, doesn't really help me)
Lillette's: Pat was nice enough but not too helpful. my mom found more on the racks of what i was asking for then she did. overall ok.
anyone else?

Re: Where did you get...
I got my gown at Village Bridal too... I really liked them when I went and they ended up having the cheapest price for the gown I wanted. I am also using them for my bridesmaid dresses. Nothing but positive things to say! I love them :)

Re: Where did you get...
I HIGHLY recommend Fantasia Bridal, I had Marie, but EVERYONE there was pulling dresses for me, and telling me what dresses looked good. And it wasnt a slow day when I went either.
Also my sister got her dress from there, and the person who does the alterations(i dont know off hand), changed her dress in anyway that she wanted it to be changed~ Great Experience!

Re: Where did you get...
I bought mine at Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. It has more of boutique feel because they have a smaller selection but a very modern, varied, and beautiful selection.
Both of the girls there were great! I would recommend them!

Re: Where did you get...
brought the dress at davids bridal on northern blvd in queens, they were actually very helpful, and i even had to exchange it for a different size after the first one came in and had no problems.

I bought my gown at Demetrios at the Smithaven Macys; they were friendly, helpful, and honest.
Me too...they were great there. They even put a rush on my dress for me. I have nothing but good things to say about them They have Demetrios gowns there. One tip: no matter where you go for your dress, go during a trunk show to get discounts off your dress and accessories! That is one way I kept costs down

Believe it or not ladies, The Wedding Center! I worked with Helene and she was great, very helpful. Jay in Tuxedo's is awesome, so sweet and patient. Bob has been great too, he even knows me by now!

Nothing but great things to say about Renate's in Lindenhurst. Ordered my gown, headpiece and BM dresses there. Doing alterations there as well. They can get busy this time of year, like anywhere else, so make an appointment!
