Re: where did you go....

I havent started yet but here are some places I have heard about or been too....
Lillettes in Baldwin
Adriennes in Islip (have been there for another wedding it was really nice, big selection and the staff was helpful)
Huntington bridal suite (I was in a wedding in May, all of the brides maids including me had a HORRIBLE experience, including them putting on a girls strap twisted)
Lidias Copaigue (alot of people on here have gotten dresses there)
Paradise Bridal in Patchogue (i think thats the name)
Macys in Lake Grove/Manhassett (I have been to the one in Lake Grove, it was good to look at dresses, and it was EMPTY on a Saturday when I was there but the bride didnt buy there b/c they wanted $400 more than Adriannes for her dress)

Sorry I dont know where you are located so I am not sure...
Lillettes and Lidias are open on Sundays now
Adriennes will be open starting next sunday, otherwise its M-Sa
In most cases you need to make an appt ahead of time, which I suggest so you can have someone help you. GOOD LUCK

Re: where did you go....

I went to David's in Carle place first, found one, but wanted to keep looking. Next went to Estelle's, the service was great, just nothing I liked too much. Next, went to bridal reflections in Carle Place. Didn't care for them. First of all, the people there have some big attitudes, second they were way too expensive for me. I also looked at Lilettes in Baldwin, they were nice, but nothing I liked. Finally, went back to David's in Carle Place, had wonderful service, and bought my dress. They had great prices a big selection and I fell in love with my dress. Good Luck!!

Valentina's in Brooklyn

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE them

From the moment I walked in I felt the love from everyone there. They treat you like royalty. They dont rush you, pressure you and no matter how many times you walk in to try on a dress you havent left a deposit on but just want to show people, they are more then happy to help you and they do it with the biggest smile.

Every time I went in my sales girl gave me the biggest hug. She was honest and sincere.

I love them in that store.

They give you so much too if your dress is over 1000. You get your headpiece, veil and slip.

They are truely amazig. I could go on and on about them. They are really wonderful in there.

I wanted to go to Lidia's in Copiague, but stopped in to Ranata's in Lindenhurst and fell in love with a dress there. Their prices were great and the sales person was not pushy at all. I'm going back next week to order it.

Bridal suite of Centereach - not terribly fancy, but very helpful, low key staff, nice selection. Good experience.

Macys Lake Grove - Okay. They told me to just look around, I could've used a little more help figuring out what the dresses looked like.

Bridal Reflections Massapequa - Beautiful shop, no problems with the staff, excellent selection of designer gowns. Pricey. This is where I ended up getting my dress, so far I've only had positive experiences with them.

I went to:
Kleinfelds: great selection, very nice attendant, too far away for me.

KayAnns Bridal in Franklin square: Very nice attendant, so-so dresses (for me). they are very affordable, and carried St. Patrick, Casablanca and Demetrios to name a few.

Bridal Reflections Massapequa: excellent service, beautiful gowns, terrific price. This is where I got my dress!!!

Re: where did you go....

Here's where I went:

1. David's Bridal in Carle Place - great prices, you buy off the rack - awful service.

2. Lillette's - I had a good experience here. My saleslady Gerri was terrific, very sweet and helpful! Definitely check this place out.

3. Paradise Bridal in Patchogue - loved it here! They had some very nice dresses! Vivienne was my saleslady and she was awesome!! Definitely check out this place too!

4. Kleinfeld in Brooklyn - very upscale boutique. I normally could not afford much here, but went on a sample sale day and ended up buying a sample trunk show dress for 1/2 price! The place is gorgeous, the dresses are gorgeous, and the service is really great. Diane was my saleslady here - she was wonderful! You must go here for the 'Kleinfeld experience!' (And if their prices are too high, go on a sample sale day like I did!)

Good luck and have fun!!!
