I honeslty had barely heard of it and paid no attention to it last time I planned my wedding but when my old hall sold my date (despite my deposit..grrr..) my sister MADE me look at the hall. Even though it's way out of budget I fell so in love with it. I hadn't even heard of it on LIW before my sis mentioned it (her company dos their corporate trainings there and she said it was awesome) but now I see it on LIW a bit.

I haven't booked yet-but the ones i'm looking at i found by searching on here and on Theknot.com I went to all the websites; read reviews; searched & called for price info and narrowed my selection from there.

That site has a ton of places on Long Island. It gives details about guest minimum/maximum, price ranges, and how many weddings take place at a time. I used this site to create a liste of places to consider.

I have actually seen A LOT of venues around here before I even got engaged (I used to work for a photography studio in LI) so when the time came to look for ym own RH, I knew the ones I had already seen, though most beautiful, weren't what I was looking for/could afford. So I was talking to a fellow LIWer about wedding planning stuff and I was explaining to her what we were kind of looking for in a hall and our price range we were looking to stay in and she immediately said 'check our the Riviera'. I haven't never heard of it before that day and when me and my mom went there for a showcase I instantly fell in love! It was everything I was looking for and completely in our price range. Once I bought FH to see it, he was very happy with it and what they offered us so we decided the search had ended. We didn't look any place else.

I found my hall on LIW. Thank you LIW!!! Otherwise I don't think I would've found it because my RH is not very well known.

My best friend had her graduation party there so when I was looking for places she said to check them out since it had just been renovated, Im so glad she did

LIW!!! I really wasn't familiar with RHs since at the time I started looking, I had only been to 3 weddings in my life. I started looking at www.longislandcateringhalls.com, then i googled 'RH name' reviews and LIW came up. I started browsing around here and found reviews for the woodlands! I fell in love with it just from the pix online so thanks LIW and past woodlands brides!

I heard of it word of mouth,
my reception hall doesn't advertise traditionally to maintain some semblance of exclusivity.
