Okay so i am recently engaged and overwhelmed with everything I have to get done.
I cant decide on anything besides the location Crest Hollow Country Club. If anyone has any reviews please let me know.
Does anyone know who does your centerpieces?? I want simple candles and some frose petals. Does the Florist do that??
Any ceneterpiece ideas are helpful.
Any info on anything would be helpful I have so much to do.
I have time to do it Im getting maried in November 08'

no worries you have time! these girls are great ... jess has an awesome dj to recommend *haha* ... you should try looking at the theme board too they have some kewl ideas

Hi! Welcome!!! You've got time, but, I would say get started with DJ, Florist, and photographer first...look through some magazines, or do an internet search for bridal showcases...that way you can collect a bunch of pamphlets and info all at once, and weed out who you'd like to make appointments with, and who you'd rather not! they're my favorite...and the really good ones, serve food and drinks!!!

congrats on you engagement, i think booking the rh is a good place to start (ppl will say chuch) so maybe either or is a good place to start, good luck as you start your planning

Welcome to the boards! Many of the past threads would be of help to you especially since you are getting started and probably want ideas. I would suggest doing a search of 'candle centerpieces' or 'Crest Hollow Country Club' and you'll find alot of past threads and probably many reviews for the RH. Hope this helps! Let the fun begin lol

You have plenty of time and you will find LIW extremely helpful and addicting!
Start by doing some searches on the board, this will help you focus. Here's the order that I have planned so far:
Reception Hall Officiant/Ceremony Photography Band/DJ Dress shopping

Welcome and congrats! I don't have any recs since I'm at the beginning of planning too, but I just wanted to say hi! Like everyone has said, do some searches and you will find TONS of reviews for everything you need...so helpful!

What helped me a lot at first was reading a lot of the Brides' Reviews - there's a separate forum for that & that part of the board is for people who have planned & completed their wedding...so this is AFTER use info... Someone can be wonderful all the way up until your day & then screw up.... This forum is a great place to find out how people are on the actual day of!!!
There are all kinds of postings, all kinds of info!
Whatever you need - just post a topic and we'll all be happy to help!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is such a calming presence...seriously! So softspoken, etc... The references, I'm STILL getting replies...i got a reply from almost every one!!! Side note - he's totally adorable too!

Hi, Congrats and Welcome. I'm a newbie too. We booked Crest Hollow for July...the Emerald room. Which room did you book? who did you book with? We are working with Sharon. Everyone is telling me to relax and calm down that I have plenty of time to do anything/everything for the wedding. So far we only have the hall and the band....we wanted a specific band so had to make sure they weren't taken. Now we are looking at photo/video....haven't even started thinking about my dress.

DJ Gaza - he's based in Brooklyn - but goes anywhere..
He was a club DJ before getting into weddings..
His price for everyone is different - what it's based on, I don't know....but I know my price was just above my best price from anyone else & i liked him 10 times better....
