Welcome and Congratulations!! You have plenty of time, a Year and 3 months. I have 9 months and only have reception and dress booked. It is great that you kknow where you want it b/c that is one of the hardest decisions IMO. Go dress shopping, look into your photo, band/dj for now. You would get your centerpieces from a forist and if you want chair covers or extra's they may have that also. Good luck.

Im actually waiting to book it they have 3 dates open in November for the Emerald Room also. We are going on Vactaion the end of September so we cant do the deposit at this time which ***** so bad cause I really wanna do it. Im praying they still have the date I want.
I love the emerald room. Mitchell helped me out the other day he was very helpful.

take u'r etime.. read a LOT.. check out the DIY board.. loads of ideas there.. and look at the wedding timeline.. before u know it u'll be plannig!!

and i booked most my vendors in the last 2 weeks..
im not doin floral centerpieces i am doin a photo shoot to have all photo centerpieces. but with maybe votives n rose petals or something funky! who knows
but if u need any help just ask
try and think of a price u wanna spend per plate and then start calling places and making appts.
its easier to go with a theme if u kno what ur hall is like

MY FH and I went to about 6 halls before Crest Hollow....nothing clicked. We had 3 other appts to go to that day nearby including Fox Hollow which is like 3 blocks away. Once we entered, we were hooked. THe rooms upstairs are gorgeous but we liked the intimacy of emerald room, we never made it to our other appts and booked the next day with our parents. I suggest you place a deposit for a date you like otherwise the room might be taken. Or if they are nice enough they can tell you if someone becomes interested in your date/room. Ask Mitchell if he would be willing to email you or call you...since you're not sure yet. We had 4 dates available for our time frame, but we really wanted July and luckily only the Emerald room was open for July.

well congrats,, i dont know if you booked crest hollow,,but i booked with them for may of 08,,i booked with Tom he is good and the food is good as well ask for a food tasting to help you decide, bring ppl who u value their opinion,,as far as flowers i went with designs by rose she is really good and very economical compared to other florists,,well good luck i know how you feel i am going through the same and mine is coming up before yours but you have plenty of time,, don't worry so much,, listen to me telling u not to worry,,when that's all i've been doing,,

Congratulations and welcome!!! Someone suggested searching the site and looking through the brides review-great places to start. I would definitely recommend looking into booking the church first if you are planning to get married in one. It seems to be really hard to get a date sometimes so get started early. You have plenty of time which means that you can shop around for better prices and/or vibes. You don't have to rush to book a vendor just because you're in a hurry. You will have enough time to choose a vendor that is a good fit for you. If you have questions, just post a question and the girls here will give you helpful responses in minutes! They are great!!! dont worry one little but. you have all of us here to help you. there is so much helpful info on this site. the girls will all help you with any questions and give you their suggestions and or opinions.
