Where do we go to get marriage license in NYC?

Where do we go to get marriage license in NYC?

Also, can we bring copies of birth certifies? Or do they require originals?

You go downtown in Manhattan to the Court house and yes you need an original birth certificates and a money order.

We just did this in manhattan--
you go to city hall (on centre street) and the do NOT take birth certificates-- just have your passports.

Every hall appears to have its own rules-- although I would assume it is similar rules in other NYC boroughs.
