After we first got married, we lived with a friend of DH's for a few months - there was a dining room in the house, but he didn't eve have a TABLE!!!
We ate on a snack tables in the living room every night...it was so awful.
Now that we have our own place, I notice we almost never eat in front of the TV, only when we rent a movie on the weekends or something. I think it's good, it makes us sit and talk to one another for an hour or so at the end fo the day.
Just wondering what everyone else does?

same here.. that is, except for the fact that we don't have a DR table.. just a tiny table in the kitchen which just doesn't cut it

Wow, I'm really surprised about the coffee table thing too...I always hated it--when we had peas, man, they were everywhere!!!! I couldn't WAIT to get a real table!!!
ETA: I'm so proud to say we actually use it!

We ordered a coffee table--it is coming next week. I don't know what we will do then. There won't be room for the tv tables, but I don't want to mess up the nice new coffee table.
