using gifts from your bridal shower before the wedding? (if you already live with FH)
We don't live together but when FH moved into his place in June he had nothing so slowly I've been bringing shower gifts over there but not our silverware and dishes or sheets and towels I want to wait do those items
My shower was Sunday and I've already broken out that panini maker!! We've lived together over a year, but we have a one bedroom apartment. Going to very slowly transport things from my parent's house to here.

i definitely think you're allowed to use them but we live together and have a lot of stuff already. we will probably hold onto them (maybe store them at my parents or FILs) until we get a house...if it looks like that won't be a while then we'll break them out sooner haha
We received a few vases and a beautiful set of flatware since our engagement, and I refuse to use anything. I feel like I should wait until we have a house, instead of using stuff in an apartment, where we already have things. I just feel like the stuff I will be getting is good stuff, instead of just junk that I have at the apartment.
I don't think I'll be able to wait to use everything! I also won't have a ton of storage, so I'd rather just open everything up and get rid of boxes and things. Unless my mom just takes everything after the shower. We'll see!
I will definitely use things right away!
I say...use them right away!! We got a bunch of stuff from our engagement party and they are being put to really good use!
I would probably use items right away. Maybe not dishes and silverware.
We live together and already have a lot of that stuff (but it was mostly hand me down stuff from our parents so I'd like some new stuff!!) and I think I'd probably use it right away. Depends on what it is though I guess!!

I think we will be using ours right away. Especially since we live together already, there is no point in waiting IMO.
OMG we have been having the same problem! All of my engagement gifts are sitting in my basement!! Its killing me! My fiances mom said we shouldnt use them until after the wedding - its bad luck! All of my bridal shower gifts will be in the basement as well! UGH We have had a house for almost 4 years now :(
It depends on our situation at the time. We are just looking at houses so if we get a house before the shower, then I will use it right away. If we don't find a house until after the shower, then I will wait to use them for our first house!
