I go to Maximus in Westbury, but I'm still not sold on whether it's worth the money or not. I really don't go often, I cut my hair maybe twice a year. (I know that's not enough!) I'm thinking of trying out a new place, so I'm polling everyone to see what's popular! If you pick Other, please let me know where you go.
I think I'm (finally!) going to get my hair straightened/relaxed, so of course I want to go to the best place possible.

I go to Maximus in Merrick even though I live in Jersey now, I make the trip. I've gone there for about 11 years now. It's hard for girls with curly hair to find someone who knows how to deal with it! I also get it relaxed (it's still curly but not as poofy).

I go to Jon Megaris in Plainview. It used to be in Syosset but they relocated after a fire.
I've gotten my hair cut by different people and always been happy, and the girl who does my highlights is great (Kelly).

Normally I go to Hair on 14th in Whitestone. (but it's a bit of a trip for me) I go to Penny but everyone is great there. They did my girls hair for my wedding 2 even got their hair cut & they looked fantastic!!
I have gone to DiRosa in Frankin Square once & I liked them.

Jill - I have been going to Nubest in Manhasset for 13 years and can't rave about them enough - Vincent for hair and Christian for color - they are amazing and so incredibly nice, no attitude at all ! Haircuts there are $48.
I have also been to the Glamour Inn in Oyster Bay for blow-outs and they do a great job as well.
