Your wedding gown???? Ok so I know I won't be married till next year, but I still want to get a feel of where to begin. I'm considering, Kleinfeld, RK Bridal, and yes, David's Bridal(I saw a few on their website that I really liked) Any feedback would be great.
Thanks girls.

Way cool. You've already purchased your dress! That's great! How will you be preserving it until the wedding next year?

Re: Where have you purchased......
Thanks ladies! I see quite a few of you have already purchase your gowns yet your wedding is next year. Here's the thing I found one I'm in love with but I'm concerned about how to preserve it until next year. For those of you who have purchased your dresses how are you preserving them until your Big Day????

Re: Where have you purchased......
i ordered mine in June at Helen's Bridal in Commack. It will come in around December /January and they will keep it there for me until I go for my fittings. My wedding is in July 2010.

LOL. Hey that could work too!!! I know I'm a total novice at this but I'm just worried if I purchase it now, it will somehow become discolored by our wedding day.

Re: Where have you purchased......
Other than David's Bridal, most places you have to order your dress and it can take from 6-12 months (depending on the dress) for the dress to arrive. Also the boutique can store the dress until the week of the wedding for no extra charge. BTW I order my dress from Helen's Bridal sept 2007 and it arrived July 2008. I start my fitting January 2009 and my wedding was April 2009

Re: Where have you purchased......
i actually talked to my aunt the other day who got married like 10 years ago. she got her dress from david's as well and had just left it in the garment bag in her closet until her wedding. she said she took it out the other day (10 yrs later without preserving it) and it looked no different. there was no discolouration or anything. so i think it is fine!

Re: Where have you purchased......
Phew.... what a relief! I was really concerned about even starting to look now much less purchase. It's good to know I can do both if I so choose beause I have such good options. Thanks!
