Michael's in Commack doesn't sell them anymore, and I tried some scrapbooking store near the Red Lobster in Lake Grove; they don't sell them either.

hi there. i am also doing traditional wax seals. They have really great stuff at Huntington Business Products Centre. (right in huntington village) they have a lot of different color wax (although, we are doing the traditional red) and lots of seals!

i just found out that my invitations should be here no later than the 7th. so my FH and i were talking about how we need to go and get the wax and the stamp, so he told me to call them, i did about 20 minutes ago. you know the whole saying about great minds!!
how did you address yours? my dad and i are writing calligraphy on all of them.. what a task.. that is why i want to get started now.

LA Productions will do the calligraphy on a computer. I wish I had time to take a calligraphy class, I think it would be fun. My invtiations won't be ready until the end of July, but I wanted to practice with the seals and mail one to myself to see if it cracks in the mail.

SonicStef and I did faux wax seals and they are much better to work with. The reason is real wax easily breaks so while the Post Office has your invites you may lose or break some of the seals. Real wax is also more difficult to work with and more expensive. Faux wax bends so they do not break. Stef might still have the site that we bought them from. They are chip like seals that you can melt a bit and use a stamp to put a design and add to the invite. I got a lot of comments on them too!

i actually bought a faux sealing kit. but FH thought that it was cheesy to use faux wax. i told him that i am not going to sit there and do it so he can! so he is going to take care of them.

At michaels they have war colored glue sticks and stamps that are much easier to use

I got one at Target. It was nothing fancy..a heart stamp with silver wax. Michael's maybe had more of a selection...??
