During college every year for New Year's we'd rent a condo at Mt. Snow...So fun!

Hunter is cool b/c it is fairly close & there is good night life in town, however, very crowded & the slopes are narrow.

I like Ascutney in Vermont or if you want to stay close, try the Poconos....Camelback or Shawnee.

Also I'm forgetting the one not so far from Hunter, W something....its a lot wide trails than Hunter & not as crowded.

DH and I liked Elk Mountain and another one right near it, can't remember it right this minute. When we went we stayed at The Inn at Nichols Village which was a nice place in a nice little village!! That was one of out best trips ever.

Depends on how far you want to travel.
NY = Windham
VT = Okemo
NH = Loon
Maine = Sunday River

Much better than Hunter. Both are horrible on the weekends

I like Stratton and Sugarbush but for a closer option, Belleayre is not so bad.

we go usually to camelbak although we started going to jack frost mountain (its less crowded and the prices arent so bad!)- theres actuallt two mountains jack frost and big boulder ( big boulder closes a little earlier than jack frost)

We like goin to the one close to these 2..It's called BLUE MT....in PA

Mountain Creek in Jersey is good. My favorite is Butternut in MA.

after skiing here the states are not my favorite place to be...

my family's been going to the dolomites for years, believe it or not it can be cheaper than skiing in the states!
