I had 75 guests and literally over 100 things to open so my BMs opened them up then i read the card, announced the person and then held up the gift

well, i was talking to FH and out of nowhere he is like 'why didnt you open your presents' so i knew someone told him bc obviously he wasnt there

anywho - that is how i have seen it done at all other showers i have been to so i didnt think anything of it. . .

oh the controversy!

We did that for one of my BMs shower. She had over 100 people there and it would have taken forever. One person was opening the gifts, 3 were moving them around, I was taking pics, one was making the ribbon hat and another was writing everything down. What a system we had!

I always feel bad for the guests watching people open all of those gifts!

i hate to be 'on display' so I am dreading this portion of the shower!

i suffer from anxiety and TRUST ME if i could do it - then anyone can do it. . . you are distracted by the BP and all the gifts you dont even notice all the eyeballs staring you down

PLUS after the first few gifts - no one is paying attention any more!
