I have to say I went to check out Barrons and I wasn't impressed. It was like they couldn't be bothered. I could barely see the veils because they were behind the counter and the lady was like well pick one and after showing me two she was like well come back with a picture and was done with me!! I was so annoyed! I found one I liked at the salon I got my dress from but it was $250!! Where is everyone else getting theirs?

Same here - the veil I wanted is $250, didn't want to pay that much, but haven't heard the greatest things about Barron's! I'd like other suggestions on where to purchase my veil!

I went to Barrons and they were great with me. I did bring a picture and she showed me a lot of veils. I went there twice and both times the woman was very helpful. I think when you go there you have to have an idea of what your looking for. You should go with a picture of your dress and try again because their prices are amazing.

I got mine where I got my dress. Unfortunately mine was indeed $ 250.
I didn't realize I guess how expensive that actually is for a veil. But It was the veil that I tried the dress on with and the only one I really wanted to go with it..so...

the funny thing is that I did bring a pic of my dress and I told her what I was looking for, I said i wanted small beading/crystals along the edge with some drop down beads, I felt I was pretty clear in what I wanted. I think the first impression killed it for me and I can't bring myself to go back!

I got mine from denise leli. You should call her for a price, as she custom makes the veils. I got a cathedral and a two tier with blusher...both with swarvorski crystals throughout for 400.

If you are in the city try A Brides Veil Falls.

Re: Where is everyone getting their veil?
aww sorry to hear your experience at Barron's. I've found them to be the cheapest so far. I went to a Bridal Veil Falls but she was pricey for a lace veil. I would also recommend La Sposabella in the city. They're a little more than Barron's but less than A Bridal Veil Falls depending on what you want.
I'm getting frustrated at the cost of a veil that i'll only be wearing for pictures and the ceremony. Going to try to make my own instead.

I am pretty sure I am going to go with Barrons. When I went the first time I had a picture in my head of what I wanted but what they showed me didn't match. The guy was really helpful and suggested I bring back a pic of my dress. When I looked at my dress I realized what I needed and plan on going back soon to order it.

I was going to try Barrons but I might just go with ebay. I really want a cathedral and its only for 30 minutes.. I dont see the point in spending all that money for such a short amount of time

You really shouldn't spend more than you need to. If they have the type of veil you are looking for you should really try them again and save yourself a few hundred dollars. I know you feel frustrated with them but I say give them another shot.

I went to Barons once for an estimate and found them to be very helpful and definitly plan on going back. I'd rather spend that extra $400 on something else.

Re: Where is everyone getting their veil?
I got mine at fall bridal veils in the village. I purchased 2 veils and they were attached together to one small comb, but obviously you can detach one at any time. It was $300 but since there were two it was $150 each. Depends on what type of veil you want of course.
I am glad to see i am not the only one who didnt have the greatest experience at barrons. I am sure they have alot of happy customers and are great for many but i found them to be very rude. I didnt go there for a veil but for a headpiece. It was about 2 weeks before my wedding and just needed to get something at this point. I told the guy what i wanted but i guess he didnt like my idea and kept saying NO get something like this instead and kept showing me things i didnt want. Then when i tried to explain why i didnt want that, he got an attitude and was telling me that im wrong, how am i wrong for wanting something a bit smaller and not wanting floral designs but thats bc they didnt have exactly what i wanted. He just wasnt listening to what i was saying. Then the lady came over and this pissed me off even more. I was showing how my hair was going to be the day of and pinned my bangs bang to get the full effect, so i explained why i wanted what i wanted, and she starts telling me 'just put more hairspray in your hair' W** that had nothing to do with what i was talking about, and when i tried to continue what i was saying about my own point she rolled her eyes and started talking to the guy in russian in front of me and you can tell she was saying nasty things about me. She was making so many nasty faces as she was talking to him, then she kinda threw her arms up and walked away i know some russian words and she was saying some horrible things. Who does that?
at this point i had searched everywhere though and didnt have time to get one made so i had to just buy something. Wasnt what i really wanted but i just said to the guy 'ok nevermind just give me this its fine'

I didn't even think of Ebay...good call. Do you know of someone on there that someone else has used? I've been burned on ebay before so I would want to go to someone with a good rep.

Wow ... I cant believe that ... I wonder if you spoke with the owner. You should talk to Yana or Yara ( i forgot what her name is) but she is the owner and she basically let me try on every veil in the place and she was so patient. I ended up getting a heavily beaded veil 2 teir custom length for only 140 in ivory.

Re: Where is everyone getting their veil?
i agree that they can be very rude and act like they know better than you. if you are going to go there, i would be 100% sure of what you want and ask if they have it or have her make it for you. that's what i plan on doing. make the decision on the veil at your salon and then see what there prices would be.
