I am torn over where to go. My FI doesn't really want to go to Sandals anymore - he is thinking about Europe or doing something different. He doesn't like to lay out on a beach.
Is anyone doing something different or know someone that went to Europe on their HM? Confused on where to go and what to do.

We're going to Hawaii, I was going to say it is so cliched but I don't see many of you going there. I figured we will never really have an opportunity to go Hawaii, so why not. And europe is just a lake away that we will get there some day. LOL

were taking two honeymoons- one short one after the wedding and then another about a month later (were both in school) we agreed FH could choose the first one and i would choose the second. i havent decided yet between the many tropical places. he chose the short honeymoon already- green bay wisconsin! were going to a packers game and i get to wear a cheesehead with a veil

We going to Europe for a little over 3 weeks.
France (Paris) Switzerland (Lucern, St. Moritz, Geneva, Zermatt, Zurich) and then Austria (Salzburg and Vienna).
We're going in the winter, so it should be just like a winter wonderland! I can't wait!

Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora
i had always planned on Europe my whole life but last year I realized it wasn't for me .. at least not for our honeymoon. We've been long distance since day 1 and i didn't wanna go somewhere where we would be out all the time sightseeing and on a schedule to fit everything in.
Just wanted a place where we could do basically nothing and just enjoy our first time together alone (knowing we don't have to leave at the end of the trip )

We were originally going to Italy, but he cannot take off from work for more that 5 days (not enough time as far as I am concerned).
We have been to Europe though, b/c my family still lives there. Europe is great, and you can easily satisfy different wants for your activities.
We always fly into London & then pick a city & go from there. It is relatively inexpensive & the major airlines (like virgin atlantic especially) always have special deals w/hotels & airfares.

We went to Sandals St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa
There was tons of water sports to do their - much more then just laying on the beach!

Keep in mind August is a tough time to visit Europe, particularly Italy, France, Spain, etc. Its their vacation month, so things are very crowded, pricey or closed. And its HOT. You probably won't have as much of a problem in the bigger cities (but you'll have the heat to deal with), coastal destinations can get crazy then.
We went to Costa Rica - Al's not one to sit still on the beach either. We went white water rafting, hit up the hot springs, saw the volcano, did a canopy tour and walk through the rain forest, went kayaking, scuba diving, and sat on the beach!
