Do you know how far it is from Bellmore?
Thanks

Re: Where is Nesconset?

My parents live in the area (Lake Grove) and getting there is a total nightmare with the traffic!!! I feel like 347 is always backed up.

They've built so many homes in the area that the population has increased dramatically.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice area/community, but I just couldn't deal with all that traffic.

I know- where did all of the people come from anyway? Nobody used to know Nesconset existed...I kinda liked it that way

They are people like me who can't afford the houses in the areas that i grew up in and Nesconset is a fabulous little nook...It is a wonderful neighborhood, near great stores and access to the LIE and 347 (depending on which part), AND best part is they still have some affordable decent houses

I am looking there myself

Re: Where is Nesconset?

I lived in the Fairhaven apts. on 347 in Nesconset, now I am in Lake Grove. I LOVE it out here. Everything is 5 mins. away.
Sachem schools are good as well as Smithtown.
I am moving back to East Northport very soon, and admit Im going to miss it out here. I will be out here visiting on the weekends. My friends all either moved out here or are moving out here. I am excited about moving back to my home town too.

Nesconset is very nice. It's not located near Bellmore though.

The traffic is only really terrible during certain times of the day and certain times of the year.....

My FBIL is selling their house in the area. Their area is very nice and quiet.... go over a few blocks and the houses are right on top of each other... the old cottages are plentiful. Depending on the time of day, it's difficult to get there cause Old Nicholl's Rd is a very busy road.

I grew up in Nesconset and now have my own home with my husband in Nesconset. It is a very good area, part of Smithtown town and Smithtown schools. It is close to the expressway and NS Parkway and Smithaven Mall. You can't go wrong in Nesconset. Very good area.
