i have question about seating. The bridal party were do they usually sit?by themself with Significant others or table with either bridesmaids or groomsmen. i am confused. i have to start this soon.

There are no rules--do whatever you want
for me, i would put them with their dates, among ppl they know. if you have just a BP table--if ppl are there with them that are not in the BP, it would suuck to be separated from their SO.
its okay to have them scattered at different tables--after introductions, they are regular guests at that point--and can sit wherever you want!

I mixed it. I have friends and family in the BP. So i put them wherever I would normally sit them, Like all my girl friend from highschool are at one table, 4 of them are in it, one is a reader and two are not. They are all at one table w/ their significant others.

It is really up to you. My BP is going to be sitting at their own tables with other family and friends.

For me, I HATE it when you're in the bridal party and are forced to sit with your 'partner' for the wedding. I'm going to sit my BP with their significant others - not sure if all the BP and their significant others will be at one table or I'll put them separately at tables with other friends or family.

I did the traditional BP/Head table. I think it looks nice to have all of your attendants sitting together. You can do it however you want, people usually only sit for the dinner then they are up dancing and mingling.

I guess I am different then everybody else. I am doing a head table with all of my BM lined up next to me and then all of the GM lined up next to FH. Most of the girls significant others are in the BP also so I won't have any worries as to wanting to sit with them.

sorry to crash....was just thinking of the same thing were to sit BP.....I was leaning towards sitting them with their SO. I thought about it like this, if I or FH were in a BP and the other wasn't, I wounldn't want to sit without him....

I wanted to sit our wedding party together with their dates but most of my girls are from FH's side of the family so that wasn't working out b/c the tables weren't even.
What we did was scatter them and they will be sitting them with people they know.

We are in the center head of the room and on each side of us there are 2 tables one of them will seat the GM/BM with their dates and the other will be my BP and their dates

we are having them sit at two large tables near the front of the room where FH and i will be, the bridesmaids at one table with their dates, and the groomsmen at the other with their dates.

i agree. I'm just having them sit with people they know and will have the best time with. I know my parents had one big bridal party table, but I think the rules have changed and now its more of a 'do what feels right' thing.

They sat where we put them really. We didnt do a specific table for our BP, some of the GMs sat with their friends and vice versa. No specific arrangements

I would definitely let the BP sit with their dates. It's awkward enough for their significant others to be left alone during the church and while your taking pix... what I did was I had a table for the GM and their dates and a table for the BMs and their dates and it worked out well... and if they #s don't totally fit the tables, then it's ok to mix the BP up with your other guests. im going to sit mine with their SO. they will mostly be at tables of just the BP but there is going to be other people at the tables too.
