Where is the trailer park in Ronkonkoma?

And are there really prostitutes there?

Dh and I are beginning to look in Ronkonkoma for our first home, and we keep hearing there is this section of high-crime and prostitution, near or in a trailer park.

Sounds like an area I lived in once in Brooklyn!

And I really liked it there!

There is a very small trailer park right near the lake! I have NEVER seen prostitutes hanging out there nor police constantly in the area. They are OLD OLD trailers and there is a slimy looking apartment complex that used to be a motel next to it, next to that is Parsnips followed by Bavarian Inn. It is right on Portion Road. I would not worry about it too much. Unless someone else has more experience with the area has something else to say, but by passing it I have not seen anything to worry about it too much.

Ronkonkoma is a huge town! It goes from exit 59 on the LIE to exit 61. My parents live at the very end of Ronkonkoma (on the border of Farmingville) I would not worry about that little part of Ronkonkoma.

I pass by this trailer park once in a while, but have never seen prostitutes. Like the above quote, the park is on the lake next to Bavarian Inn. Not a very nice 'attraction'. But Ronkonkoma is a big town and has many nice areas!
