We were just going over how much money we have to have for all the vendors (w/o envelopes, favors, BP/GM gifts!) and w/o the final payment to the hall. I don't know where we are getting this money. We absolutely are running out I feel like throwing up I am so stressed I can't deal. This is so upsetting. And we need to start to look for an apartment! Which will be money once we get it. What do we do ? FH and I both make good money (him more than I ) we are very comfortable. This damn wedding is costing out the butt! I just want it to end already

I hear ya! I FH and worry about the same thing; we feel overwhelmed about where the money is gonna come from over the next few months, but I just keep telling myself, don't worry ,it'll all come together.
On a lighter note date twin, we are almost to the DD!!!!!!!!!!!

We've been trying to stick to our budget but it really IS amazing how much things actually cost! And we're in the same boat in that my FH and I will be looking for an apartment soon too and that means more $$$!

Do this, get all your contracts together and imagine the ones from vendors you havent booked yet, then make a list of other things, gifts, tips, RB pillow etc. Add up all the contracts, divide by how many weeks you have till the wedding. Then you know each week what you HAVE to put away. The second list gets bought with any leftover money. So far this plan is keeping FH and I on track, to the penny!!
The way we see it contracts MUST be paid, everything after that is fluff, even favors, they are nice, but truth be told in a poll most people never use them. See if you can reuse some other brides RB pillow. Can your veil or tiara be your something borrowed from a sis or close frind. Little things can help keep the bills down and make it easier on you. GL it will all get paid somehow, no matter how you sclice it

Hang in there,we more then doubled our budget, it was just so so stressfull, I feel your pain, we got through it, but I wont say it was easy. It really put a damper on things for a short while, but in the end we wouldnt of had it any other way, our wedding was our dream come true and when there is a will. there is a way.......So take it easy and try to not let it bother you, you will find a way somehow, trust me......

It is rough esp. when neither of us have ever fortunately had to feel this way. We are so lucky to be doing what we are doing for our wedding but at the same time I just want to close my eyes and hide till the wedding happens (but if I'd did that there would be no wedding since no one helps!) I can't win ! It's gonna be a boring summer!

Don't worry! Figure out the exact amount of money you need - to the penny. Then maybe set a schedule for yourself when each should be due so its not all at once. Thats what we did and even though I still felt like I was going to thrown up we were able to pay for everything.

omg i remember having a few nervous breakdowns and crying like a little girl to DH about it! but trust me, you WILL get thru it and the money will work out! i was just as stressed and it alllll came together in the end!

I have been taking the low interest balance transfer offers my CCs give me to pay off other CC bills to keep my checking account *plumpy*
(though my checking account is NEVER really plumpy to begin with.... i make little money)
for the time being, you should pay all your bills with your Credit cards (if you have them) and just keep that balance until after the wedding.
you know AFTER the wedding you'll hopefully have plenty of money to pay everything off
OR,,, take out a new CC with a 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases for 12 months and transfer all your bills to that for the time being.
its ALL about moving money around... its like an artform for me at this point

I am someone who HATES to owe money.....I never used to carry a balance on my credit cards until I started planning a wedding ! It's so overwhelming but it CAN be done, just plan and budget as much as you can. You'll be fine ! Try not to worry about money too much.
We tried not to count on the gifts paying off our wedding because I knew they most likely wouldn't....but it was a nice feeling being able to make a HUGE payment to the credit card company afterwards

I hate credit card balances as well! But Caroline that's exactly what I was thinking of doing if need be. And just pay off and cut that bad boy up after ther wedding. I can't wait to just enjoy the big day and no more wedding money worries!

what i did when I first moved into my new apt... transferred a big balance (about 3000.00) to a citibank card which offered me 0% interest for a year ... cut the card up and then spent the next year paying off that card little by little. Tax time helped a LOT... and you would probably be able to pay a big chunk immediately after the wedding.
I have a Washington Mututal card I took out for this purpose, and after I paid it off they started offering me balance transfer offers (1.99% until May 2008 etc etc) so i kept the card and I would use THAT sporatically for smaller balances.
The credit cards I use daily, I pay in full...
as long as you are conscience of your 'debt' and make sure you work towards paying them off, it works like cake. AND I have a great credit score. Using CCs and keeping balances actually HELPS your credit score. as long as you pay the minimum.

OMG....I couldnt have said this better myself! My FH and I are in the exact same boat as you guys! We just added everything up the other day and I nearly passed out, I couldnt believe it! I get sick to my stomach when I think about it. So youre not alone.

i totally feel ya! we just got an apartment and need to buy a refrigerator and stove ordering invitations this month and trying to get favors i paid for my tiara today and i have to give our TA 850 tomorow - this is the part of the planning that i absolutely HATE!!!
