I am trying to figure out where everyone gets tuxes in Nassau/Queens because my FH and I live in Boston, but we want to pick the tuxes up in NY. I guess chain stores are helpful because it would be nice if he could get measured here...

FI is using After Hours Tuxedos. We are in LA, one GM is in Boston, one is in Philly and another one is in Providence. They can go to a store in their area and then pick it up on LI for the wedding.

1800tuxedo - amazing price, great selection, Pat was awesome to work with.
We went to Sal's tuxedo's in Massapequa - i love them they were so wonderful and helpful!! One of our groomsmen lives just outside Boston and they explained to him how to measure and send in the measurements, but he just went to a tailor or a chain tuxedo place got his measurements then phoned them in and DH picked his tuxedo up for him the day before.
I would say call a few places that are convenient for the groomsmen and see if they'll be accomodating for FH.

Dante Tuxedos in Westbury. You can get measured anywhere and use them. Most places are like that.

Men's Wearhouse - makes it easy for out of town guests....You can find them anywhere so people can just go and get measurements....

We're using After Hours, it's a pretty big chain I think they have them everywhere.

Wonderful! That's who we used and Mitch at DiRe's is fantastic!!!!
Another thing...there is NO NEED to use a chain store just because you're OOT or the BP is OOT. 75% of our BP was OOT...all you need to do is walk into any tux shop or tailor and get measured. Call up the tux shop you're using and give them the measurements.
One thing GREAT about DiRe is everything is on site. Something doesn't fit when they pick up their tuxes the guys run upstairs and give them something that does.

Same here! He says at other places you can't try on the tuxs to get a feel for how they look and this place has everything in stock.

Amityville Mens shop RT 110 Amityville Village- Quite family owned business FH got his prom tux there they are really helpful with color schemes and very friendly
