Where r u going on honeymoon?
The Virgin Islands is fabulous. I went there with my fiance (then boyfriend) and I loved it so much that I went back with my sisters.
You can do everything or nothing there. I stayed at St. John's island (Westin Resort - the resort was okay). If you can go with Caneel Bay resort, it has beautiful beaches and great amenities.
One of the top ten Carribean beaches is on St. John's - Trunk Bay its a can't miss.
More INFO PLEASE
we are going around 7/4..not really sure when we are leaving...and staying the week of 7/10 and 7/17. Rob is thinking of the British Virgin Islands...I am not sure about the diff bet the 2. I guess we can take day trips from island to island. We do not scuba/dive or really snorkle so we were staying away from islands because of this...but it looks beautiful and has a lot of history- that is what we are interested in. We don't really swim Let me know any other information.
CAUTION - Double check everything you get.

Phyl,
I'm going to the Virgin Islands for my honeymoon. We just booked this past week. We are going to St. Croix and staying at the Sunterra Resort on Carombola beach. It is a beautiful resort. You can check it out at WWW.Sunterra.com. My aunt is a travel agent and she was the one who recommended we go there. She said any of the islands are beautiful and you can go from one island to another by boat. There are some beautiful national parks and a completely under water snorkeling park which is supposed to be really amazing. Let me know if you have any other questions. I've been researching the Virgin Islands for awhile and have lots of info. Good Luck!!

BVI is great if you want seclusion. But, if you are looking for history, I think you should go to St. John's. It has an amazing national park. If you want to be where there is a happening night life, then you should stay in St. Thomas.
It is very easy to travel between the islands, you can go to BVI - Virgin Gorda and go visit the Baths, they're amazing and it is mostly shallow water. It is a nature's wonder.
If you don't like swimming, they have an underwater submarine that leaves from St. John's, I heard that it was pretty cool, though I never saw it.
would love hawaii
but it is more expensive and takes a lot longer to get to. We may be getting a home soon- waiting to hear in the next few days- so budget is a priority.
We may be able to go away for only a week- and it takes one whole day to travel to get to Hawaii and another whole day to get back- or pratically that much. Thanks for the info, though. I will pass it along to Rob!

We dont scuba, snorkle, etc. My fi is thinking about this place cuz he sailed there many yrs ago with his sis and her then fiance..and another couple. Said it was great to go from isle to isle and the people were friendly and lots of history.
We are history, museum buffs. Not into too much of the beach or into any gambling or casinos/big shows at all. so between the nature, the shorlines and the history,he thought this would be good. When is hurricane season? we are thinking about the weeks of 7/7,7/14.

Me and my husband went to Boston for our honeymoon, sounds a little lame compared to you guys. hehehe Wherever you go just remember to relax and enjoy each other. After planning a wedding for a year you both really need a vacation. The most memorable night of our honeymoon was the one rainy night we stayed in the hotel room, got lots of snacks and watched the Sixth Sense together cuddled under blankets. Take one night out to snuggle and I bet it will be the shining moment. Have Fun
My co-worker's daughter bought her dress through them, rented the tuxedos and got a photographer referral. She has nothing but great things to say about them.
Who did you use for your photographer, florist, dj,video, etc. If you care to recommend anyone, I'd appreciate it!

Even though we are getting married in May, due to time constraints (and wedding guests staying at our house), we are waiting until July to go to Saratoga. Beautiful old victorians that are B&B's, great town to walk around, laid back, and the horses start in July and run through August. We both enjoy the atmosphere there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone even if it is "not in season" (prices are MUCH cheaper then, too). If anyone is interested, I'll see if I can find the web address for the Chamber of Commerce. (and there is a lot of history in the area, along with the spas, and the performing arts center)
Hope this helps, and good luck with whatever you decide.
