After having a rough rough week last week, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and my wedding planning. I started looking at hotels near the church where I'm getting married. My FH and I live together and we want to be apart the night before the wedding so I'm considering booking two separate hotel rooms the night before and the night after wedding. But it seems that doing that it's gonna cost over $500 + (which was not in my budget). I'm trying to get creative as to where we should stay but I want to be near the church so the limo can pick him and GM up and then come back for me and BM. Also I want the photographer to be able to take pics of me and him getting ready. (My package comes with only 1 photographer) So him staying at our place and me at a hotel is not gonna work out. This sucks, I dont wanna spend that kind of money on hotel rooms. I'd rather use that for the honeymoon but I dont know how to make this work.

We stayed at the Vianna Hotel. We got 2 suites. 1 for me and my 3 girls and 1 suite for him and his 3 boys. We were on different floors. It worked out pretty good!

my parents...they are old school italian at times and this is 1 thing i couldnt fight them on cause they want pictures at their house

We stayed at the Marriot Islandia.
The night before, I stayed in the suite w/ my mom and then the day of the girls got ready there...He was in another room. Then on night of, we went back to suite

The night before my BM and I will be staying at my moms house since that is where we are getting ready and taking pics. The night of the wedding we will be staying at the Garden city hampton inn...then back to work on monday. I can't take too many days off since I will have just gone back to work in sept

He's staying at our apartment, his GM are meeting him there.
I am staying with my girls in our hotel

this happend to me
I was staying around the block from fh he was going to be at his parents house and I was going to be at his sisters but now I decided to get ready at a hotel and had to get an extra car for me to go to the church in and have 2 photographers.
but the idea of both of you staying at the same hotel but on different floors sounds like a great idea

Since DH is from CT he stayed at the fox hollow with some of his groomsmen. I, along with one BM and my MOH stayed at my parents. Looking back (since my damn limo went to fox hollow instead of my house....) I shouldve gotten ready at fox hollow and took the limo to the church then back. It probably would've been easier (but costly lol)

Were staying at the same hotel as our guests
Night before - 1 room for myself, 2 rooms for FH & his GMs
Night of - going back to the room I had the night before the wedding.
I requested that my room be on a different floor & away from the room block so FH & I won't be bothered.

we didn't live together so it was easier for us. we both got ready at our parents homes. but even if we didn't, can't you ask your parents to stay the night intheir homes? i wouldn't spend $500+ on just a night of hotel rooms, especially if it wasn't in my budget to begin with

We booked the Viana hotel for 2 nights. FH is staying there the night before and I will be staying at our house. We will both stay there together on the wedding night

My mom lives in Jersey. The church is in Long Island city, Queens. My FH and I live about 20 mins away from the church. I guess my options are to either pay for the hotel rooms OR pay for another limo.

we got four rooms the night before, two for me and my girls and 2 for him and his guys (they ran out of Suites )
then heading back to one of the rooms I have the night of the wedding

I stayed at the hotel with my bridesmaids but when it reached 2am and I was wide awake (not because of my bridesmaids but because I was not comfortable sleeping in a different place and I was thinking too much about the wedding!) I left with my MOH and went back home to sleep in my own bed.
So as much fun as it was hanging out with my BMs all night, it would have not been good if I didn't get any sleep the night before the wedding!

I stayed at my parent's house the night before my wedding. On our wedding night DH and I stayed in a suite at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge.

We're both staying at a hotel the night before (separate rooms). One of his GM will stay in the room with him the night before and stay there by himself the night after.
