DH and I would like to give an older, indoor kitty a home for the holidays. We're thinking North Shore Animal League.
Any other suggestions ladies? We want to adopt from the most humane, responsible and compassionate agency.

Re: Where should I get my kitty
Ok, we're going to bide-a-wee, the ASPCA, and the BARC shelter, unless anyone knows anything about them that should lead us to avoid them. Again, we want the MOST humane, caring shelter to support.
We would like to adopt here in the city, so that if kitty is sick we can get care at their hospital quickly.
Any other suggestions? We're going to visit the shelters a few times to see which kitty likes us!

Re: Where should I get my kitty
I've done a couple of searches and found nothing about North Shore Animal League killing animals or buying them from puppy mills.
We're not going to adopt from them b/c they're too far away anyway, I just want to make sure the rumors are true before I spread them. Can someone send me a link to an article or any other info about them being inhumane?
Thanks!
