My FI and I are looking for a place to have our engagement party. We basically are looking to rent out a room, we will have it catered and get a dj as well. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on where we should have it? Thanks so much!!!

We had ours at Pompei in West Hempstead, loved them and would highly recommend them. The food is excellent, and they have a few different size rooms to chose from. We had the Garden Room, but we did not have a DJ and had about 50 people. Prices were very reasonable, and we got a lot of compliments on the place.

Pompei is very nice.. I've been too many parties there.. Why not try the manor east as well?? I had mine at Fox Hollow and it was fabulous!! it was kind of on the formal side though, not sure what you are looking into..

We are having our engagement party at Chateau Briand. They were extremely helpful and I would definitely reccommend that you go and check them out.

I had my shower at the Pompeii. It was nice. (although I wouldn't recommend the chicken marsala, and they ran out of punch, and they ran out of cloth napkins??) I can't picture a DJ/dancing type of party there, but I'm sure that they do this! Good luck!
