Does anyone know a good place to clean a wedding dress? I got married last year and my dress is still sitting in my closet and I'm finally ready to get it cleaned and boxed up. I'm looking for a reputable place to clean and preserve my dress in a nice sturdy box. I don't mind spending the money to do the job, but I want it to be worth it. Thanks for your suggestions!!! KWD

I agree - Just got mine back from there and it looks great (at least the parts I can see). They also cleaned my satin shoes that got dirty while we were taking pics. I use them for all my dry cleaning and they always do a great job.

Re: Where to clean my wedding dress???
OMG!!! DO NOT GO TO HOM'S CLEANERS!!!! He DESTROYED my mother's ring bearer pillow. I mean DESTROYED IT!!!! And the veil my mom left there for our veil cord ceremony he stained!!!!!!!
DO NOT BRING YOUR DRESS THERE. My mom just picked up the destroyed pillow and was so upset.
It's like he stuck it in the washing machine, no thought at all, it got pulls on the front coin purse area and he CUT THE PILLOW to see what was inside!!!!! He claimed it broke but THERE's NO WAY!!! It's a straight line cut!!!
He said they put weird things in it for beliefs, its just old stockings and filler and cloth and he just dumped it in a plastic bag.
I'm so so so mad and upset. My mom still left the veils there to be finished I don't know what she was thinking!! But she didn't want to pay full price for it when he stained it and told him to get it out. I'm scared he will tear it up!
This is so absolutely upsetting. For more than 38 years it was just stained and old, now it is completely destroyed. Thank GOD we didn't bring her dress there!!!
I'm soo soo mad. I feel so terribly bad about it too because I was saying I didn't like the pillow and it was my idea to bring it to this dry cleaners.
I will post a picture of the destroyed pillow as soon as I can. its just a friggin mess.
I can not worn anyone enough to stay away from this dry cleaners.
Holy crap!!!!

There is a place in ct called orange restoration lab that Priscilla of Boston used for their dresses. I think it is in shelton ct. If you want, I can get the email address. I spoke with a Sally there and she is wonderful. Good luck

Thank you so much but my mom and I at the moment can't even think about having her dress cleaned/preserved.
I've currently got the pillow stuck in a bowl of woolite. Figured it can't get any worse than what has happened to it and forget about sending it to another dry cleaners at the moment.
Also there are more rips in it that I didn't even see the first time I looked at it after the dry cleaners when I was fuming. Theres a big hole on its right hand side that was not there when I compared to my original picture I took of it before we sent it to the shop. There were actually NO holes in it, the ribbons were in good shape, and the stains were soo not as bad as they are now. I know I'm repeating myself but I can't get over it at the moment.
I know nothing about drycleaning or removing stains, but I seriously think he stuck it in a washing machine with all my other things. If i wanted a washing machine, I could've done it myself. He couldve separated my mom's veils too so they don't get stained or ripped. What a hatchet job. It's like malpractice in drycleaning.
I do not recommend them at all....
Oh and I asked my mom if he apologized, and she said NO.
She was so upset she just told him to remove the other stain he put on the lace veil and left. Ugghhhhhhhh

Wow I am so sorry. I had a good experience there but if thats the one that you had I would stay away. I just went to inspect my Priscilla of Boston there yesterday and it was black on the bottom when I took it in and came back amazing. I am so sorry you had that experience but I do agree that if they did that to you I wouldnt go there. I am glad my dress came out great but I wish I would have seen this first. That's terrible.
