Re: Where To Get A Tux From?
We went to Esquire Tuxedos in Merrick too and had a great time there. Mike is wonderful!
My brother went yesterday to get measured and my step-father is going on Monday. My dad's thinking of going later this week to buy a tux from him because of all my raving.
We also have a lot of OOT people who will be calling in their measurements. Mike's great about helping plan around OOTers, too!

Thank you so much for your help!!! Okay, so it looks like Esquire tuxedos in Merrick is the place to go
Does FH need to make an appt and ask for Mike? Or should we just walk in?

Re: Where To Get A Tux From?
I would highly recommend DK Bridals in Jamaica, NY. The owner was very friendly & helpful. FH tux arrived a week before the wedding for pick-up. They have an on-going promotion for every five rentals, get one free. If you're looking to buy the tux, I think they have to order it through the company to find out the price. Usually, they offer it cheaper than most places. Just bring the info of the tux with you. Def go on a week day, the weekends tend to get busier.

We just walked in and they happened to not be very busy when we got there. It got a little busier while we were there, but Mike took his time with us anyway.
From what I understand, he's always there. When my brother went yesterday someone else took his measurements, but my step-father called and will go in tomorrow to pick out his tux (he gets to get any tux he wants... he doesn't have a suit so he's renting for the wedding).
I asked Mike if we should've made an appointment and he said it didn't matter, as long as it wasn't too busy he was happy to help whenever we came. He said appointments don't always work out anyway, so sometimes just showing up is the way to go.
I told him I was recommended by LI Weddings people, too.

We went to Men's Wearhouse. FH has had to use them before as a member of other weddings and never had a problem. I was actually surprised that the person we met with was very helpful and accomodating. We were able to find something that was much nicer than I thought we would.

We went to Roger's tuxedo in Smithtown and had Rachel (I think that was her name). They were really fun to work with and we got a great price and FH's is free.

Re: Where To Get A Tux From?
we went to Tuxedo Park. FH was hates tuxes and hates the strip that goes down the leg so he wanted something a bit more upscale and he found it there. He got a tone on tone pinstripe which looks really nice. the rest of the guys are wearing the traditional tux with the satin strip down the leg.
