Does anyone know somewhere cheaper to get married other then a church!? I can't believe it is so much money! I wanted to see what other options i have. Anyone have any information on getting married in a Gazebo?

When FH and I were looking, the church ended up being cheaper. We paid $650 for our church and our venue wanted $600 for the space and then you still have to pay an officant. It sounds like a big chunk of money, but make sure in the long run its worth it to have your ceremony at the venue. Unless its really what you want of course.

I wouldn't do the ceremony at the hall again if I had a choice I hear pastor April has a list of good spots on her website

My church is a suggested donation of 500 or what you can afford, I am sure your church will work with you.

this! most halls charge anywhere from $500-$1500 plus tax and service charges, officiant, and music!! my church is $500 with musicgflat no tax!
like someone else said pastor April sure has alot if places! best suggestion I have its a gazebo in a best by town like Babylon over by argyle park.

Thank you so much! I contacted Pastor April last night. I am waiting to hear back from her. I asked Westbury Manor when i booked there. They wanted $800 plus 20% PLUS i have to pay for music and a pastor. So, i said hell no! LOL, but thank you guys so much!

we are getting married at our venue ... they are charging us $500 plus chairs.
some of the churches I looked into were $500 donation.

omg. our venue charges $995 and I didn't even question it, after reading this I can see that it's WAY expensive. Oh well. What's done is done. We're also having a friend who is ordained marry us. Makes it more personal.

most of the venues I looked at other than TVI charged $1,000 for the ceremony. TVI charges $3/chair for those really nice wooden white ones, so really it would be about $800 for us.
