Hello ladies and gentleman, I am going shopping for my gown tomorrow and it will be the first time I am going. Anyone have suggestions where I can go for the first time? I'm not sure what I want, so a place with a big selection and no high pressure sales tactics would be great.
Since I'm going tomorrow hopefullly a place that doesn't need appointments.

If you live in Nassau, I loved how helpful the staff was at Lillette's in Baldwin!
If you want higher-end gowns though, you might want to try Bridal Reflections. Although they turned up their nose at my affinity for Maggie Sotteros.

Huge inventory, no pressure, no appointment - RK Bridal in NYC.

I took a poll on this topic last week and Lillette's in Baldwin won by a huge margin!! You are supposed to have an appointment but since it is slow season, I'd just call before you leave the house. Ask for Carol!! She is awesome!! I just bought my dress there this Thursday!! Good luck!

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue, they had a huge selection and were very helpful

I like Lillete's for bridal gowns, but they are ridiculous when it comes to alterations for bridesmaid dresses. I have also had a lot of experience at Lynbrook Bridal with Carmela. My sister and best friend got their dresses there. Have fun!!

I loved Lillette's-- had a very nice selection-- but ended up buying my gown from The Bridal Salon of Manhasset--- they have higher end gowns-- great service- you feel like a queen.
I would suggest calling any shop before you head down to make sure they have time to accomodate you -- otherwise you will be stuck simply looking at their dresses on the rack & wont be able to try it on--- Talk about deflating the fun!

burton's in huntington. lillettes alterations dept is awful and they charge ridiculous prices for bm.
