Hey Ladies, I was just wondering where you went to shop... I really want to go to a nice place and have a great experience for my first time out! So if you can suggest places to go or even if you can warn me were to NOT shop. Thanks in advance!

Re: Where to go for a wedding dress
My mom got her MOG dress at the Bridal Salon in Huntington and they were so nice and had a nice selection of dresses. I am going to start there when I look.

Lestans in Brooklyn is awesome.. they carry larger sizes if you are a bigger girl only size 14 and up in samples. To me this was great bc I was able to try any dress I wanted instead of jutst pulling those that were size

Re: Where to go for a wedding dress
Village Bridal in Babylon was the first place I visited and boy did they spoil me. They let me try on a bazillion dresses, take photos in the dresses, go back and try more on. And they knew I wasn't going to be buying that day. I would've purchased from them but they didn't carry the designer I eventually went with.
ETA: I did purchase my dress from Paradise Bridal in Patchogue and had an excellent experience there as well.
ETAA: The one place I wouldn't shop on my first time out is RK Bridal. It's just TOO big and warehouse-y. It's a great idea when you have a better idea of what you want though, especially if you're looking for a particular designer or style.

Re: Where to go for a wedding dress
I had a great experience working with Ashley at Helen's in Commack. The salon is not a Kleinfeld's by any stretch but the selection was good and I found both the consultant and the seamstress to be lovely people.
